We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this charming, cozy, pet friendly tiny home on quiet and scenic 20 acres with lake and walking trails. This was a lovely place to unwind, and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Dave was a kind host, and we appreciated his hospitality. Thank you!
We had an excellent time relaxing and playing here. The trails along the stream were really fun to walk the dogs through a few times a day. It was just as listed.
This is a charming property perfect for a weekend getaway in the woods. Incredible hosts! We had a hiccup during check-in that Dave immediately responded to and went above and beyond to resolve. The rest of our weekend was smooth sailing and we had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the outdoors!
I brought my dog up here for her last days, she was old and sick. She had the best time walked through all the trails into the creek over the little bridges in the woods. It was amazing and I'll never forget it. And I will never forget the kindness from the owners. This place was clean, beautiful, peaceful and I will be returning for sure. Best place ever.
Our favorite weekend getaway! The cabin is so clean and cozy. We love getting the fresh air on walks and relaxing in the hot tub. It was our second time at the tiny home and will keep coming back - we love it!
Our stay was wonderful. Dave is responsive and offers local suggestions. We did encounter a small issue with the gas fireplace but it was by no means a deal breaker and we let Dave know about it upon or departure. Pro tip: we used videos of fireplaces on YouTube in both rooms and it upped the cozy factor. Bonus that you can bring your pup! We would absolutely stay again. It's a great value and then some. Thanks Dave!!
The property is wonderful. It's clean and has everything you need. The hot tub is really nice to have especially in October. We always enjoyed a stroll down to the lake to watch the sunset. It's a great location too. The sandhill cranes were migrating so we could enjoy their sight and sound. Dave is super easy to work with!
This is my second stay at the Tiny House. Dave and Karen truly care for their renters. They were very responsive to my questions. Dave also contacted me to make sure I was okay during bad weather. Thanks Dave and Karen!
This was a perfect house to hide away in to complete some writing projects. The overwhelming sound heard was birdsong, and the dairy down the road has great ice cream.
Just...be aware and don't be an ignorant city girl like me: the ticks this season are BONKERS. My dog and I casually checked the wooded paths around the property on the day we arrived, and the ticks were all over us. And...the mosquitos were stupid, too. I would think the property would be great during the late fallâmaybe after the first snow of the season. Anyway, I was so freaked out by the bug situation that we didn't even take the trail down to the lake, and I only walked my dog along the roads.
None of this has much bearing on the house, though, which is charming. Thus, if you're, like, "Yeah, sis. Bugs. Welcome to the country," you'll be fine. The bed was comfy. The kitchen had what we needed to prepare meals. The hot tub was a tub that was hot and bubbly.
So would I go back? Sure. Just maybe not with my dog. He wanted to chase deer through the gorgeous, wind-rustled, tick-infested prairie grasses surrounding the property. And maybe not at the height of bug season after a mild winter and wet spring.
This place is so nice and cozy. The hot tub is fun to sit in at night under the stars. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again. Thanks for hosting Dave and Karen
Cute/quaint cabin. Hot tub is a plus. Nice, quiet spot for relaxation. Towns nearby include antiqueing, shopping, various dining, and brewery. All as described and more.
We wanted a great get away place to relax and do our strategic business planning for next year. This place did not disappoint. A cozy cabin nestled in the woods, away from the sites and sounds of the city was perfect. The cabin is cozy, yet spacious, a walk on the trails was fun, the host was helpful and responsive, and the hot tub hit the spot! We highly recommend this place.
Beautiful 20-acre wooded property, many trails and wildlife, with an adorable Tiny House, welcoming, warm and peaceful experience. Abundant amenities. We will return for another visit. Outgoing and helpful hosts make this a wonderful vacation experience. Highly recommend this very special piece of heaven.
Great little property. Really enjoyed the hot tub under the stars, the comfy TV chairs, and the fire stove. Only complaint was that the bed was a little wonky. Everything else was excellent!
Thanks for a great stay!
We absolutely loved our stay. It was the most relaxing part of our trip. We definitely took advantage of the hot tub and just sitting out back and listening to the birds. We also enjoyed walking down to the lake and just relaxing. We will definitely be back.
