Nestled in the beautiful millenial farmlands of Grantsburg, this delightful 1800's farmhouse, rich in history, features 2 cozy bedrooms with queen beds, a well-equipped bathroom with a shower, and charming rustic decor throughout. Guests can enjoy the peaceful surroundings by snuggling up by the wood burning fireplace for movie night, or there are games and puzzles galore that build long lasting memories. The upper loft has a nice cozy reading nook as well as a Queen bed, its own electric fireplace for ambiance, and a view of the old Lutz's corner. The town of Grantsburg is 4 miles to our North, as well as the town of Frederic to our East. Both towns have great breakfast restaurants! Snowshoes provided for hiking around the 20 acre property. The Fish Lake Wildlife Area, which is directly across the road, is a 14,000-acre property, which includes a 1,200-acre wildlife refuge within it. This large area is managed by the Wisconsin DNR and is comprised of wetlands, pine/oak barrens, and forests. You will see signs for the Old Grettum school and church located in the reserve. A very cool part of the Grettum area history. Grantsburg is surrounded by groomed snowmobile trails that lead to many adventures. Snowmobile permits are required, and can take up to 21 days to receive in the mail. Your receipt works until you get the decal. Please visit GoWild.wi.gov for more information if passion needed.
