L'Olivier sur le Toit - Magnifique Duplex Provencal

One bedroom duplex appartment perfectly located in the historic heart center of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. The 70mÂČ duplex is located in a buildiing dating from the 17th century.

It has French ceilings, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room, the bedroom is located upstairs, has a view on the Mont Ventoux and the balcony overlooks the roofs of the city.

The appartment is very close to all the shops, a French bakery is just downstairs. L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue has a rich historic and cultural center, beautiful water wheels, art galleries and antique shops.
The famous L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue provencal market taking place every Thursdays and Sundays morning, full of delicious local products is right outside the building.

Despite the fact that the appartment is in the heart of the town, it is very quiet thanks to double-glazed windows.

Several free public car parks are available at 3-5 minutes walk from the appartment. There is no private parking attached to the apartment.

Guests will have access to the entire accommodation.
Towels and sheets are available for the guests.
WIFI is also available in the entire appartment.
Check in is usually from 4pm onwards
Check out is usually before 11am
Regarding check in and check out times, if you would have any requests to arrive earlier and to check out later, please message me to check whether we can accomodate you.

Please note that due to narrow hallways in the entrance and stairs, the appartment is not adapted to people having mobility difficulties.

Also please note that there is no private garage attached to the appartment, however there are several free public car parks just 3 minutes walk to the apartment.

Possibility to park bicycles in a separate car park for a fee of 10euros per day, should you need the bicycle parking space please let me know before your arrival.

SituĂ© au cƓur du centre historique de l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, dans une bĂątisse datant du 17e siĂšcle, ce duplex de 70mÂČ sur 2 niveaux, allie une dĂ©coration moderne et ancienne avec des objets chinĂ©s avec soin.

Plafonds à la française, cuisine entiÚrement équipée, grand salon, chambre et balcon à l'étage avec vue sur l'église, sur le Mont Ventoux et les toits de la ville.
Le célÚbre marché provençal qui a lieu les jeudis et dimanches est au bas de la porte.

L'appartement est trĂšs calme grave Ă  des fenĂȘtres double vitrage, Ă  deux pas de tous commerces, des boutiques d'antiquaires et des galeries d'art.

Des parkings publics et gratuits se trouvent de 3 à 5 minutes à pieds de l'appartement. L'appartement ne possÚde pas de parking privé.

Les voyageurs auront accÚs à la totalité de l'appartement.
Internet WIFI gratuit dans tout l'appartement.
Les serviettes et les draps sont également à votre disposition.
Les arrivées se font habituellement à partir de 16h00 et les départs avant 11h00 cependant si vous souhaitez arriver plus tÎt ou partir plus tard, merci de m'envoyer un message le plus tÎt possible pour voir si nous pouvons nous arranger.

Merci de noter que les couloirs de l'immeuble étant étroits et l'appartement étant sur deux niveaux, il n'est donc pas adapté aux personnes ayant des difficultés à se déplacer.

Merci de bien vouloir noter que l'appartement n'inclue pas de garage privé, cependant il y a plusieurs parkings publics gratuits à juste 3 ou 5 minutes à pied de l'appartement.

Great Place!

This is a great place! It's centrally located in the village, and the Thursday farmer's market is on the doorstep. The home is modernized and roomy and has all the necessities. Even though the place is modernized, it gives the feel of an authentic old-world lodging. Also, Celia was very nice, informative and easy to reach. We would definitely stay here again!

I loved this property. It is beautifully presented, with a very comfortable bed, excellent aircon, great shower and new kitchen appliances. The location couldn’t be better, right in the middle of town, near to bars restaurants a small supermarket, boulangerie and butcher’s. I didn’t have a car as I had friends staying nearby who were driving me about so I can’t comment on the parking. The apartment is remarkably quiet considering the location. It’s a great spot which I highly recommend

Best appointed and located!

We loved being in the centre of this lovely town and enjoyed the twice weekly markets just outside our door. Great apartment to cook in and superb views. Lots of things to see and do in town and wonderfully located to go by car to many Provence towns and cities. Would stay again. If you have trouble with stairs best to look somewhere else.

Awesome location in L’Isle sur la Sorgue

Celia was way to contact and very responsive! The location cannot be beat as it was located on the main Square with convenient free parking. There were lovely views of the courtyard and several very close pastry and coffee shops! I would note the the stairs are narrow And steep so the setting may not be the best for all visitors. We had a fabulous time there!

Excellent apartment- location, facilities all round

The apartment was excellent, very well equipped, spotlessly clean and a fantastic location. L’Isle Sur La Sourge is a beautiful place in Provence. It was busy and bustling with plenty going on without being noisy. We travelled by train which was very easy and getting about without a car also very good with reasonable access to many locations by bus or train. Communication with the owner was excellent from start to finish. Thank you for a lovely stay

Charming flat in lovely setting

We had a wonderful time in this sweet flat located in an historical stone building: very charming, with much individual character, excellently equipped, efficient aircondition on both levels of the flat, bakery next door, supermarkeet 5 mins walk, quiet despite market on Wednesdays and Sundays, parking 5 mins walk, nice landlady. L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is an historical marekt town with many shops, bars, restaurants, right in the middle of the Provence.

Perfect location.

Such a fun place to be, right in the heart old town. Views of the activities in the church square from our open windows were entertaining. Sunday market was a blast to stroll through and try such a variety of stalls. The apartment was well appointed with every thing we needed. A note-the stairs are a bit difficult to navigate but we were just slow and steady. We would stay there again as long as knees are in shape. Thanks for a delightful stay.

Perfect Location & Property

We LOVED our stay in this thoughtful, modern and right in the heart of Ly.'isle sur la Sorgue apartment. Wonderful view of the square and especially fun to watch the market on Thursday and Saturday right from the window overlooking the church. Celia was easy to communicate with and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The stairs up and within the apartment could be an issue for someone with mobility issues, but after the first trip up we actually grew to love them. FYI, the bathroom is on a different floor than the bedroom which could be tricky at night if you aren't 100% stable on your feet. Overall a 10+ for us! We would definitely book again!

Wonderful appointments in a great location!

I've stayed in at least 50 or more rental properties over the past 20 years, and in terms of appointments, this was one of the best in terms of value. The kitchen had just about everything, from good quality pots and pans to a large (medium by American standards?) refrigerator freezer. The location is really convenient...walking distance to restaurants, shops, etc., and just steps from the Thursday and Sunday markets. My only caveat is to take the owner's warnings about steps seriously...there are a lot of them!

Wonderful central apartment

We loved our stay in this centrally located apartment in L’Isle Sur La Sorgue. The owner was very friendly and there to check us in. Her communication was timely and easy. The apartment had a comfortable bed, AC when you needed it, and all the things you would want for a short or longer stay. The kitchen was well stocked, and the washer/dryer was very helpful to have. We loved being in the center of town and being able to walk to everything. The parking was nearby and an easy walk to the apartment. This is a perfect place to spend time in Provence and to explore the area. and as a bonus, the market on Thurs and Sun is right outside your door for all the freshest local products. We highly recommend this place and will be back.

Fabulous stay

The apartment in downtown l’lses-sur-la-Sorgue was absolutely marvelous! Celia was easy to work with and communicated everything very clearly. The location as a base was wonderful and the town is charming. The apartment had everything we could ask for. The stairs in the apartment are not for those who have mobility issues. However we manage them very nicely. The two time weekly markets were thrilling to see. As were the numerous wonderful restaurants to be had in town.

Fantastic Spot for Exploring Provence

This apartment recently served as our base for exploring the area and was perfect. First of all, it was absolutely spotless (not overrun with the owner's personal items), had plenty of room and was well appointed for a stay. It was warm and cozy with a wonderful view of the square and a charming balcony off of the upstairs bedroom. As other reviewers have mentioned, the steps are funky but added to the overall charm (they could be difficult for those with mobility issues, as the water closet is on a different floor than the bedroom). The town is lovely and everything you could want is a short walk away. To top it off, Celia made communication and check-in easy. I cannot recommend this apartment enough. Celia, thank you for making your place available (and for the bottle of wine!).

Perfect, again. (this is our second stay)

Celia and her father Robert could not possibly be any nicer. The apartment is fully equipped and the kitchen is a dream to cook in --- especially with marchet food from right downstairs. Perfect location in town, overlooking local life at all times of the day. We considered other locations, but they did not have the charm of being right in the middle of it. Spacious, sparklingly clean, fab bathroom, comfy bed. Good free easy parking near by. The best town to stay in off season: much livelier than surrounding towns, more people on the street doing their errands. Situated nicely between the perched villages and Avignon, Arles, Marseilles, Cassis. The central location affords you the opportunity to get to know the western end of Province with little hassle. Less glitzy than the shoreline and much more livable. Good selection of restaurants even in January/February. Highly recommend.

Amazing quiet spot in the middle of it all

We absolutely loved our time at this loft style apartment. We found it very spacious for 2 people and spent a lot of our 3 weeks there gazing out the window at the activity in the church square. Everything from market (literally right outside your door), to children going to school, elderly folks walking their dogs, people in cafes, tourists, etc. However, by nightfall, it was exceptionally quiet to sleep. The spaciousness of the apartment was wonderful for us and the open feeling outside (not staring into an alley or another window) was really private. So, in the middle of a lot of fun activity, you had openness, privacy and peace for sleeping. The kitchen was very well equipped, bed was very comfortable, shower was great - all the amenities. One note that must be said is to address the stairs. You will find them in many French properties and they are not for the faint of heart. There are not many but they are tricky. We got used to them as you will. This is a lovely gem in the heart of a very bustling and fun village.

A lovely apartment in a beautiful village!

We have stayed in many vacation rentals in Europe over the past 10 years and L’Olivier sur le Toit was perhaps the best we’ve ever experienced. It is perfectly located in the centre of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in a beautiful square with restaurants, cafĂ©s and a bakery just steps away. Free parking is available just a short walk from the property. The duplex apartment itself is lovely, spacious and comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped including all the appliances you may need. A washing machine with a built in dryer is also provided and this came in handy since we stayed for 11 nights. Air conditioning with remote control is available both on the main level and upstairs in the bedroom. As noted in the description of the property, there are a lot of stairs, including a narrow winding flight to get to the apartment. This didn’t pose a problem for us but could be an issue for someone with physical challenges. The owner, Celia, was a terrific host who communicated regularly with us before and after our arrival and provided lots of helpful information. We had a wonderful stay we definitely hope to return again in the future.
