We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was very spacious and well taken care of. Next time we are visiting family in the area we will be renting here again!
The home is amazing. Well maintained. The grass needed to be cut and many of the remote controls needed batteries. The media room seemed nice but we didnât have chance to enjoy it. Couldnât get the projector to work.
The house was great, lots of room, great kitchen with everything you would need. LaTonya was great throughout the process, answered any questions asap. Will definitely go back the next time my family gets together in Tyler.
The younger grandkids enjoyed the media room. The older grandkids enjoyed the den where they could play their games on the TV with all its gadgets that I do not understand. The dining room became the adults area for completing a 3-D puzzle. The living room became an adults only area for planning and talking. My daughter and her husband enjoyed the master bedroom and bathroom. All the bedrooms were considered great by the grandkids. My son-in-law finally got a clear day and used one of the two outdoor grills. Later they used the fire pit while they sat on one of the two outdoor porches.
We plan to use this home in the future.
This is a beautiful home which was perfect for our needs. The check in process was smooth and we encountered no major issues during our stay. There was more than enough space for us all to spread out, which I appreciated. We were in Tyler for my graudation from UT Tyler and the home was perfect for my husband & I, my daughter, & parents. I would love to own a home like this settled on a large property. That being said the home did need several updates. They were not deal breakers but did create some frustrations. The kitchen has two ovens. The top one did not work. The coffee maker was old and had a funky taste to it when coffee was brewed. The lights were out in the master bedroom closet. There were no batteries in the tv remote in the master bedroom. We had to move a piece of furniture in the MBR to access a plug and there was trash behind the furniture. There were no directions on how to work media equipment. Several of the blinds were broken and did not work. There were numerous other small issues that could be addressed with a simple walk through and basic up keep. The house was "clean" but it felt like a superficial clean & the kitchen needed a deep clean. There were little things that were annoying like no side tables or lamps in the living room. Again these are not deal breakers but does not give a 5 star stay. Even though I probably won't be going back to Tyler, I would stay there again simply for the space it provided but found all the other things frustrating.
Our family was able to celebrate a wedding in the nearby communities AND have the conveniences of the city of Tyler. Lots of space to get ready in privacy. Lots of shared space for family stories... and a lovely porch for coffee, devotion and calm to start our days! Made me feel good when one of the guests said - it felt very homey. Thanks, Yes... when the occasion arises, we'll be back!!!
Home was very comfortable and spacious! Enjoyed our stay immensely. Home was in a quiet neighborhood and we felt safe. Plenty of outside lighting. Definitely would rent again!
We stayed for a work project with guys. Plenty of room to hang out together or get away from each other. Highly recommend if you have a large group or want privacy.
The ice maker does not provide enough ice. I would say it is not working effectively. There was little or no silverware. Only 2 table knives. plenty of forks about 4 or 5 tablespoons and only 2 or 3 teaspoons. The dishes were not in the cabinets where you would expect them to be but in the pantry. Only one of the garage door openers worked, so when leaving everyone needed to make sure they returned together to get into the garage. Information needs to be furnished to anyone staying there as to the owners of the cows. For when the cows get out (which is a lot) they come to the house to complain.. Also on the checkout list no mention was made about the beds. so they did not strip them , but wondered if they should have done. A little statement re beds would be helpful.
Also regarding the stopped up sink. Maybe the housekeeper should report what she did to the owner and/or come back to check on her work.
Have a blessed day.
First, let me say that this is a beautiful, roomy, very well kept and stocked property. We fully enjoyed our stay. My only complaint is that we booked this home because the description said that there was a pond on property for fishing. My mom loves to fish and this whole trip was for her. We walked and drove around and found no pond. We ended up driving 10 miles to Lake Palestine so she could fish, which turned out to be better. Also, getting the TV's to work in the den and media room was very complicated. Overall...we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Thank you LaTonya
This is our 2nd time staying at this house and I believe at this point it's the only place we'll rent in town. The house is spacious, had everything we need, clean, etc. The owner is great and follows up quickly. Great house and does not disappoint!!
Our family was in town for a graduation and this was perfect. We were within close distance to our family and the school. There's a target 8 min away. The cows were fun for us to watch in the morning and the kitchen was so spacious! There are many perks to this house that we wish we would have had more time to enjoy! Check in was so easy and check out was awesome! We plan on staying again because it was a great house with everything we needed as a family and great location for us too! Host was extremely nice and accommodating!
The house is really nice, though a little dated. There is plenty of room for 4 couples. The listing said 5 bedrooms and 4 baths. It is actually 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and a powder room. It worked for us because a couple of family members did not come. There is a media room, though, if another sleeping area had been needed. The security lights had the outdoors well lit which was nice for coming in late, but a little annoying for outdoor relaxing and light through the bedroom windows. Drapes were able to be closed to help that , but the hooks for the ties were not properly anchored.
The house had exactly what we needed and more⊠lots of extra space for spreading out. It is well worth the drive from town and the nightly rate and the privacy.
The house was very nice and plenty of room. We enjoyed the back porch with the fire pit. I will say that this is a four bedroom house plus a media room with a pull out couch. There are 3 full baths with a half bath. Two bedrooms have their own en-suite. The other two bedrooms share a hall bath. We enjoyed having the garage to park in. It was a great place for eight ladies to stay for a Canton shopping trip as itâs only about 45 mins to Canton. We would stay again.
Im an only child who loved her parents TREMENDOUSLY!! I grew up in Tyler but my parents were born and raised in this area. My great grandfather owned all of this land in this area and after his death the land was divide between his children. In 2000 my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer so my parents decided to move back to the country. They completed the house August 2003 and my mom passed in March 2004. My father passed December 2017. Im a retired public school teacher who lives in Dallas. I'm married and have one daughter who just graduated from Texas Women's University Nursing school. I love the country (Tyler) and i try to come home at least once a month. The calm peaceful surroundings brings joy to my soul. My favor spot at the house is sitting on the backyard patio watching the cows and feeling at peace. PRICELESS!!!
