Maison de plage récemment rénovée à Fair Harbor, Fire Island

Cette maison de plage confortable est la plage parfaite pour se détendre. Idéalement situé entre l'océan et la baie et à proximité du seul restaurant / pizzeria / glacier / supermarché. C'est un 3 BR avec 2 bains. Chambres très calmes face à l'arrière. Le printemps dernier, la maison a été totalement rénovée: nouveau réfrigérateur, lave-vaisselle et plans de travail, la majorité des meubles (y compris la plupart des matelas) est également flambant neuf. Il y a beaucoup d'espace sur le porche avant et arrière pour le barbecue, le dîner et les bains de soleil.

The owner was terrific to work with. The house was amazing! Comfy beds, well appointed kitchen, super close to the dock & beach. I am hoping to make this a yearly trip

Comfortable cottage

My family really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Like typical Fire Island homes, the home is compact but airy. This is a home that is clearly used regularly by the host, so it is furnished and stocked appropriately. Communication with the host was excellent. We would happily stay here again.

Our family arrived the week before Memorial Day. Lucked out on weather, beach was great!! House was as described and , comfortable. This house had everything we needed. Truly enjoyed our stay!!

Last Visit, Summer 2000 at this location

It was great to be back. Some renovations made, all good. The location is perfect to walk and watch the sunsets, eat dinner, do groceries and go to the beach. I along with two friends shared the house from Friday to Monday morning. I remained till Friday to relax and rest.

Great location + well appointed house = excellent vacation!

The house was great. We were 3 women friends staying for the week and we had everything we needed. From nice fluffy towels to everything we needed in the kitchen to whip up delicious dinners and drinks! We really appreciated the wagon that helped us get our stuff to and from the ferry. We loved the bikes. And the beach chairs and umbrella were light and easy to carry to the beach! The location was perfect to get to the beach and the market. And an easy walk to kismet too! Will definitely come again!

Don't go in the off-season

We were forced to go during a 3-day storm in September (owner not flexible with cancellation or credit). Standing floodwater under the house (smelly) and restaurants/markets shut and ferries cancelled. Be very wary about booking in the off-season. Price still high, and if it rains, it floods.

When hurricane Ophelia approached we approached you proactively and offered you to come the following weekend. Yes, Fire Island is not fun on a weekend when everything closes because of the heavy rain. This is a barrier island, water accumulates everywhere on the entire island for a couple of days, it usually does not smell. Sorry you had a bad time.

Best rental in Fair Harbor

The house is big, bright, and perfect for a group of friends and family. Clean, and well equipped with everything we could have needed including bikes, towels, a wagon and beach chairs/umbrellas. We had a great stay! Highly recommend.

Easy, fun, perfect

A great spot to stay in FH, right at the crux of beach and snack bar/market. The ceiling fans were welcome at night and the kitchen was wonderfully equipped. It’s a cozy cottage with a nice teen hangout in back. Thanks for a great week of sun, sea and biking.

Very nice beach house; very responsive host!

This is a great beach house! It was well set up and the owner definitely knew how to communicate in a helpful manner. Photos on VRBO gave realistic picture of space. Outdoor decks, happily, were better in person than pics.

It was wonderful. Everything about the house was fantastic.

I thought the whole experience was great. The outdoor space was prefect, loved the large umbrella. The kitchen and living area were spacious. The fans were prefect for the warm afternoons. I would 100 precent recommend this house and would rent it again for sure. Thank you.

Lovely stay!

We had a lovely stay here! Its a very comfortable space. The little cottage off the house with the additional bathroom was great, and the outdoor area was nice as was the outdoor shower! Steps from the beach and the town. Really convenient and relaxing.

Into the nurturing light and calm!

Wasn't sure quite what to expect from the vibe of Fire Island this summer with pandemic, but it remains the beautiful, care-taking, kind, peaceful community so needed! The property gave us plenty of room to spread out. The cottage is super cozy, very pretty wood floors and thoughtful decor and ideal for my friend and her 2 daughters. Kitchen is updated and has everything you need! My son and I loved sleeping in super sweet separate bungalow with windows on all 4 sides, ceiling fan and own bathroom. (3 showers!!! Of course the outside one, set in greenery, got most use!) The entire place flooded with sunlight, and was very tastefully renovated with attention to detail and comfort. Loved the 2 deck spaces, flowering plants and privacy of all the green. Picking fresh herbs for dinner was added treat! Bikes, boogie boards, beach games. The kids love the autonomy to bike everywhere! Perfect location and felt so nurtured by the ebb and flow of ocean and bay. Thank you to Phil for being so responsive to all our questions and for sharing your family's lovely home with us! Hope to come back again!

Fair Harbor Gem

We absolutely loved staying in Phil’s cottage. It was clean, comfortable and very cozy. The renovated kitchen was lovely and the grill was top notch. The location could not be better and we loved taking the red wagon all over. Phil was also a very responsive to any questions or issues. We cannot wait to come back! Thank you for an amazing stay.

The house was the perfect floor plan for our family! Deck umbrellas were great! The house is close to ferry and town and the ocean. The bikes were great. No complaints on this house!

A peaceful home in Fair Harbor

We loved this house! Not only it is in perfect conditions but has an actual front garden with mature trees and beautiful plants! The house is very close to the beach, quiet, and very comfortable and private. The owner is extremely nice and responsive and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful weekend and look forward to being back!

Charming house with everything one needs for a relaxing beach vacay!

This Fair Harbor cottage is a gem! It’s perfectly located, charming, clean and quiet. The house has a brand new two bed bungalow in the back, with its own full bath, that was a huge hit with our guests! New furnishings, comfortable beds and high quality linens in the main house, a new Weber grill, lovely front and back outdoor space made for perfect days, great entertaining and restful nights. Steps from Pioneer Market, Le Dock and The Loading Dock wine shop in one direction and the beach in the other. Perfect! Phil was a gracious and responsive host, replying immediately to any questions. I’ve already recommended the house to friends. We’ll be back next summer for sure!

great little gem!

the house was perfect for us, recently renovated, bright and comfy space for spending time together, and all the amenities- bbq, beach chairs, bikes. especially appreciated the honeysuckle on the porch. we had a bit of problem upon arrival- likely a small hiccup being the first renters. the owner was very responsive and had everything straightened out for us within a day. would definitely stay here again!
