North Hero situé au bord du lac, une maison de vacances orientée vers les vacances, située au bout d'un chemin très privé. Cette maison de vacances dispose de 4 chambres: 1 lit queen, 2 avec des lits jumeaux et complète, une avec 2 ensembles de lits superposés. La maison a des planches de pin sur les plafonds et les murs. Il y a un plafond voûté avec poutres dans le salon. La plupart des chambres ont des planchers de bois franc et des ventilateurs de plafond. Il y a une grande terrasse surélevée qui donne sur le lac face à l'ouest et au nord-ouest. La plate-forme est équipée de deux tables de pique-nique, plusieurs chaises de jardin et un barbecue au gaz.

Une plage privée avec une pente douce, un 32 pieds. Quai, chaloupe et une rampe de lancement de campagne. Ceux qui cherchent à pêcher à partir de la rive trouveront une abondance de crapet, la perche, le crapet de roche, crappies et une basse occasionnelle ou le nord. Pour ceux qui cherchent à kayak ou en canot ce domaine est bien protégé du vent et de la faune est abondante!

Pro-Bass Fishermen, c'est ici que vous voulez être. Certains des points chauds fréquemment visités sont le long de notre littoral et plusieurs autres à proximité.

Nice, quiet spot on Lake Champlain. House was exactly as described and just enough room for our family of 4 adults and 2 teenagers. Spacious yard and large dock for our pontoon boat. Great fishing!

Great stay

We absolutely loved the location. It's hard to find a place with an accessible boat launch and sturdy deep water dock for our 23 foot boat but this place has it! Fishing right off the dock, easy boat ride to restaurants, alburgh dunes. Lots of space for our family, beautiful lawn and fire pit. Larry was very responsive for all of our questions. Great experience!

Susan, Great to hear you had a great time! The boat launch and dock is something everyone Finds as a great addition. We have had a 32 foot Carver stay at the dock comfortably.

North Hero boating vacation

Had a great time at this property. Lake location is great and boat dock was excellent. Hosts are very attentive and communicate well. Stayed here with 2 families of 4. House was good but could use some much needed upgrades to mattresses on beds and couches in living room. Not many of us slept well. But other than that we recommend this location.

Week of sun and fun

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Larry and Mary’s property. Everything was ready for our arrival, the grill was ready to go, and the water cooperated. The warm weather meant swimming, fishing from the dock, some tubing, and a few successful fishing trips to catch largemouths local to the area. My 21’ fishing boat was easily accommodated by the dock. This is a nice private location that is suitable for kids and offers the kinds of amenities you would hope for while on Lake Champlain. Worth a visit.

Great peaceful spot

Great spot for our whole family ranging from 11 years old to 85 years old. Fishing, swimming, paddleboarding, fire pitting, bbqing ect! Was great to have the downstairs space for the kids and the adults upstairs. We brought our own badmitton set and paddleboards along with board games for entertainment but the house was equipped with necessary lifejackets and a cornhole set. There were no complaints at all....would love it if there was a hot tub to sit out in and gaze at the beautiful sunsets, but I we were completely satisfied with our week long vacation. Lots of fish were caught by all! Great place to stay!

The house itself was plenty spacious for our potential crew of 8. Ended up - we only had three. A fabulous boat launch area and dock. A dishwasher would have been nice as the family shares in cooking meals. The grill was wonderful. The kitchen, the sink and eating area were not properly cleaned upon our arrival. We have been renting for four years on Lake Champlain and had not encountered a charge for bedding and towels. The details of do's and dont's of renting was also a little extreme. A/C in bedrooms was great but the upstairs main area which included the kitchen needed an additional A/C unit. The extra frig/freezer down stairs was a plus.

Mike, Appreciate the input! However it’s a little harsh for the rating you provided for things you knew about upfront that were clearly stated on the website. Yes, we do give an option on the lines & towels since COVID. Over 90% of our clients choose to bring their own. This reduces the cost for the renter. For us, we could just include them and charge a higher fee. However, we allow the customer to choose and for some the savings is a welcome bonus. Which is what you choose! We make no extra funds either way and happily provide when requested. Just an option for our renters. I did a walk around the property before your arrival and the property looked like it should after a cleaning. Wish you would of said something upon arrival and we would have addressed your concern. We agree that the property has “A fabulous boat launch area and dock” and “The extra frig/freezer down stairs was a plus.” Mike we changed the week you booked to another week for free. We did not charge you for the extra 2 folks you wrote in on the contract and we tried to fix the Paramount Plus subscription you signed up for on another guess credit card. We tried to accommodate all of your requests.

Nice time on the lake with friends

We had two families stay on the lake. Weather wasnt the best, but such is a Vermont summer. The dock was perfect for our two boats, and the location was perfect on the water for stopping at the local returants, bars and our favorite Alburgh dunes. Hosts were responsive and checked in on us. We had a good time! Cons: old grill and stove (didnt work great), wasnt too clean on arrival ended up sweeping up so much dog hair and had to clean the downstairs bathroom. Behind doors and toilets needed more attention. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay and would reccomend !

Fall Long Weekend

My Family enjoyed our stay over the long Columbus Day Weekend. Great location right on the water even though we were not able to take full advantage of what it had to offer. Host communication was excellent before, during and after the stay especially since we left a backpack at the house but were contacted quickly and able to return to pick it up. Would highly recommend the house and Larry was a great host.

Hidden Hero Gem!

Fabulous get-a-way with incredible water access. Location is close to everything you could imagine doing while on the islands. Very quiet location so look elsewhere if you have a rowdy group or younger kids that need to be loud. House was very clean and comfortable. Larry clearly communicated everything we needed to know. Definitely going back!

Lake Champlain Hideaway

The property is exactly as described in the VRBO listing. We had 5 adults and 2 children and the house accommodated everyone comfortably. It was very warm and humid the week we were there, so the 3 window air conditioners had all they could do to keep the house cool, but we managed to enjoy our stay regardless. My husband took his 2 great grandkids down to the dock and taught them how to fish...they loved it, and so did he! It's a wonderful place for a family get-together. I would certainly recommend it to others.

Family pandemic getaway

My family and I chose this listing as a nice getaway in VT with plenty of space and right on the lake. It was great. 4 sleeping areas gave the 5 of us plenty of space. Wonderful view from the deck and we enjoyed a few nights using the fire pit. Very quiet and relaxing area. We went to Alburgh dunes state park for a fun beach for the kids - only 15 min away. The hosts were very welcoming.

Waterfront paradise!

My family and I had an amazing vacation on Lake Champlain! This home was very clean and inviting and accommodating for my entire family. The house had wonderful views of the lake and a great deck offering outside dining and relaxation rain or shine. The waterfront was incredible offering on site boat launch and dock with great swimming right from the beach! The location was great with incredible fishing and tubing right from the dock to many great spots on not a short boat ride away! I would highly recommend this home for your lake Friday by family vacation!

Our new family getaway!

2020 has been a dreadful year for many in this world. It has been a nightmare for this family. So we decided we wanted to start a tradition to do once or, if possible, twice a year rent a nice getaway to step a way from the world and relax, chill and enjoy being around each other. This was our answer to that. Truly beautiful house with great amenities, and veiws. Some of the best night of sleep we have had in years(no joke). We were extremely comfortable in the house. Throughly enjoyed the late nights out by the firepit over looking the water or the nice private balcony. Us adults and kids had fun fishing, kayaking, and using the aluminum boat that came with the house. And you couldn't ask for better owners. They were terrific. Always there when needed. We can't thank Larry and Mary enough for allowing our family to use their beautiful home. See you next year hopefully!

Lovely week by the lake

We had a wonderful time during the week we stayed at the lake house! View from the deck was an incredible back drop for delicious meals made on the grill. WiFi worked well and there was a TV when the weather was not ideal. Dock was lovely to relax on with chairs and would have worked great if we had brought a boat. We opted to bring our own sheets and towels which worked just fine! We also brought a small dog with us and were so happy we were allowed to do so. There was an air conditioner in the main room and both main bedrooms which kept the place cool. Larry was incredibly easy to contact and gave us a great overview of the property when we arrived! Only cons were that the screens to the deck somehow still let some bugs in so we had to keep the glass door shut to prevent mosquitos and flies from coming in. Also, there was no dishwasher which was fine for 2 people but could be more difficult if preparing meals for a larger group.

Mary is a retired school teacher. I'm a retired airline pilot who flew B-787, DC-10, B-767, B757, B727 & MD80 in the USA, Caribbean, Central & South America, Pacific and Atlantic routes.

I'm also an avid Sea Plane pilot and own one. We do trips to out of the way waterfront overnights, restaurants and day trips.

We also enjoy boating on Lake Champlain and the Gulf Coast of Florida.

When we vacation we usually rent homes that we find through VRBO. This has allowed us to be on both sides of renting a vacation home for a week. We also enjoy meeting those we rent to and have made many new friends and look forward to making many more.

This setting provides many opportunities to view many types of wildlife depending on the season and allows spectacular fishing from shore. If your a bird watcher, there are Bald Eagles, Osprey, Red Tail Hawks, Loons & Blue Herons and many smaller birds that can be seen.

Kids can catch frogs and follow turtles!

The property has a boat launch on the property and is nicely protected from the wind for docking boats.

Bass fishermen can be seen in their boats visiting some of the best bass fishing spots just off our shoreline.

It is also at the end of a private road!
