John was a great host! We had an issue with the water heater and he responded immediately and had it fixed.

This was a wonderful location with easy access from 64. We had 5 couples and were very comfortable with all king bed bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen was well appointed with cookware and utensils. We loved the large round dinning table that seated 10. We spent a lot of time gathering around that table. If we weren’t at the table we were gathered on the back porch. Great location for making memories!

Peace Mountain Lodge was perfect for our couples reunion week! The basics: it was CLEAN and comfortable, the kitchen had anything you need, and the bathrooms worked fine. The dining rooms, den and outdoor deck were sized to accommodate the house (and our group of 10). The bedrooms were quiet and nicely decorated, with comfortable beds. The driveway easily held our 4 cars.The superlatives: the covered deck is perfect from morning coffee to late night talking. You feel like you are part of the mountains. The view of a distant mountain is framed by a forest of green. The house is 3 minutes from Ingles grocery store (great!!), but totally isolated. We never heard anything but nature. You cannot see another house. Highly recommended.

Peace Mountain Lodge is located in a quiet, peaceful gated community near beautiful hikes and the shops/restaurants in Cashiers. We found the home to be comfortable, clean and made for a wonderful location to ring in 2026!

Excellent location and gorgeous views. The house is spacious, well-appointed, and every bedroom has a king bed and en suite bathroom. We even saw a black bear on the road up to the house!

John was very accomodating and checked in with us to ensure everything was fine. We loved the five en-suite king bedrooms, very hard to find. The views were really good as well.

The home is spacious and has lots of room to spread out. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked. The bedrooms are large and beds are very comfortable. The view from the porch is gorgeous. We had a perfect stay!

Enjoyable Property

Excellent home for 5 couples to get away and enjoy the relaxed environment of the home and the area. Close to restaurants, activities and shopping. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

We love the Cashiers area and have been coming during Fall for several years. We have never stayed in the same VRBO twice, but I think this may change. We loved Peace Mountain Lodge. It’s spacious, clean, has a beautiful view, and is in a wonderful, scenic neighborhood. We had good communication with the owner and felt very welcomed by him. Hope to return next year.

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

We rented this for a family wedding. We had a great stay; the view was beautiful and the property was perfect for our extended family needs. Convenient location.

Lovely stay in Cashiers

Our family of 8 enjoyed this home. The leafy trees outside, cozy furnishings and comfy beds. The location just outside Cashiers was very convenient.

Scenic, quiet getaway

We had a relaxing few days at Peace Mountain with a few friends. We ate in a couple of nights and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Our favorite spot for meals, morning coffee, and evening cocktails was the back deck over looking beautiful mountain views.

Spacious home, perfect for family events

Enjoyed Peace Mtn Lodge with family to celebrate daughter's graduation from WCU and early family Christmas. Home was spacious enough for each family to have their own room and bathroom. Highly recommend this home for those needing lots of bedrooms and bathrooms.

Relaxing and peaceful

Quiet, mountain home with Mountain View’s and access into town a few minutes away. Enjoyed the Sapphire Valley amenities: pools, pickle ball and walking for a small, daily fee. Plenty of space and all bedrooms with en-suite baths to have privacy.

Paradise in the mountains

My second time at this home. Excellent for a large family or 4 or 5 couples. My group of friends loved the accommodations and the location. We will be back. John Peace is a wonderful host!

April week at Peace Mountain Lodge

We loved Peace Mountain Lodge. We were three couples and each couple had a private bath, king size bed, and good television. We also all like to cook and the kitchen was exceptionally well stocked. However, we most enjoyed the absolutely fantastic view from the deck off the great room. We hope to be able to return again soon.

Quiet neighborhood, awesome views, perfect getaway!

We traveled with a group of friends for a weekend retreat. The house was exactly as described and perfect for our group of adults. Three separate ac/heat units helped us regulate everyone's bedrooms, kitchen was every cook's dream, and area was perfect for exploring. Thank you!!

Amazing house that was ideal for our 5-couple 50th birthday celebration!

Peace Mountain Lodge was a perfect location for 5 couples to spend the holiday weekend. With 5 king bedrooms and attached bathrooms, there was no drawing straws for rooms! The landlord, John Peace was so easy to work with and returned calls and emails immediately. A wonderful experience and one we will definitely want to repeat!
