We had a fabulous time in this cozy little cabin. Itâs in a great location and within walking distance to restaurants, entertainment, shopping and Arnoldâs Park. Would stay here again!
I often stay at one of the Lake Daze Cottages when I'm visiting family in the Okoboji area. It's always a pleasure to stay here and I highly recommend the cottages to those that enjoy the lake life. We will definitely be back.
Loved the Mariah cottageâs coziness, with itâs shady deck and a view straight across to the lake sunset. Laura and Nick have done a beautiful job renovating these retro lake cottages, and were available and willing to help in any way. I was pleasantly surprised at the location...not being a busy street, yet walkable in minutes to all the Okoboji fun. Clean, quaint, nice linens and amenities and fabulous landlords; what more could one want for a lake getaway holiday? Thanks Laura and Nick...hope to stay again if itâs not booked solid based on these fabulous reviews!
This place could really use a spring cleaning. Lots of spiders and spiderwebs. No curtain in the bathroom for privacy and window looks straight into the neighbors deck. Water pressure in the shower is nothing more than a trickle. Parking is limited and only suitable for two compact cars at best. Gas grill but no gas in tank. Coffee maker and supplies but no coffee. It has Internet, cable and itâs close to the park and restaurants.
The cabin is very small and needs updated. Air conditioner leaked and caused flooding in living room including on peoples suitcases and clothing. Cold/hot knobs in shower are reversed, shower/bathroom is very small including a sink that looks like a dentist office sink. The owner is really nice and always responded to our concerns. He even gave us some of our money back due to the leaking air conditioner. If he can update some things it would be a nice (small) cabin which is close to the lake.
We loved the location for our first time visiting Okoboji; but was disappointed at the water pressure and how the shower drain backed up 2-3 inches when trying to take showers. The floor was very uneven and made it a little uncomfortable to move around. Other than that, we thought it was a cute place and a great location.
This cozy cabin was the perfect stay for us on our vacation. It's location is awesome, so close to trails, public access right across the street, close enough to downtown to walk but not so close that the noise of downtown was disturbing. Checking-in and out was a breeze. Off street parking was a little tight but not a problem and was very well marked. We would stay here again.
Pros: central to bars, water, everything you need while staying. The bed was also comfortable.
Cons: tiny bathroom, very low water pressure in shower, spotty WIFI.
We had a great stay in our little cabin. It was just the right size for the three of us. The deck is perfectly shaded almost all day. We walked to Arnoldâs Park daily, close to the beach and plenty of restaurants.
Cabin was small which fit the 2 of us just fine. Appliances and AC worked as it should. The only thing lacking was better internet service. Streaming TV is provided but the internet speed is so slow and the signal so weak that most of the time it was unusable.
If you love water sports this is the place to come. Shopping spree good, antique stores, consignment stor(good catch), and boat shops and general gift shops all nice. I do not fish but it looks like a 138 ft deep lake allows for great fishing. There are 5 lakes clustered together all great. Trails near by for both hiking and bike riding. Stars gazes will enjoy the night skies. Noticed there is plenty for children to enjoy. Antique roller wooden roller coaster. If you are the pub shopper type there are plenty. Small variety of foods. Not any fancy restaurants mostly pub grub. Catch one of the lake cruises. The fish shack looks fun and yes it goes out around the lake. Sunset cruise is a must. A few museums around as well. Check the place out. Cozy cottages to hotels to rest in. My little group all had a good time. Bye!
Poor parking, not a 2 bedroom. It's a 1 bedroom with a fold out couch in living room for the second bed construction on house across from me all week. Was completely dissatisfied
This location is perfect for a family get away. Even with some places being closed due to Covid we found plenty of fun to be had. Most of what we did was within walking distance from the Maria (dock fishing and swimming, beach swimming, shopping, dinner, drinks at the Garden, and mini golf). The cottage is small but worked fine for 2 adults and a 9&13 year old. Super fun few days! đ
We are located in the heart of Okoboji with a 5 min walk to The Emporium, Arnolds Park, the public beach and awesome bars and restaurants! We are directly across the street from a public dock access and have amazing views of West Lake Okoboji! Cottages with years of amazing history!
