À quelques minutes du parc national des Volcans d'Hawa��, dans la charmante petite ville de Volcano Village, vous trouverez paix et intimité dans votre demeure bien aménagée située dans la forêt tropicale, nichée sur un demi-acre de ohia & hapu'u (fougères arborescentes).

Réveillez-vous au chant des oiseaux tropicaux et au murmure des fougères géantes hapu'u se balançant devant vos fenêtres. Passez la journée à découvrir les merveilles de Pelé dans le parc, à nager avec les tortues marines sur la plage de sable noir de Punalu'u, à proximité, ou dans la vieille ville de Hilo, à 30 minutes seulement.

Dînez dans l'un des restaurants raffinés de Volcano Village ou préparez un repas romantique dans votre cuisine entièrement équipée et dégustez-le sur la véranda vitrée. Puis asseyez-vous et détendez-vous près de la cheminée (bois attend) avec un bon livre ou un DVD.

Lorsque vous entrez dans votre maison loin de la maison, il vous accueillera avec des murs de cèdre chaudes et une enveloppe autour de canapé dans le salon complet avec un centre de divertissement et poêle à bois. We came to see the colcano and it was right in time. Very conveniently located . Loved having the kitchen. I personally would have loved a kerig but hey i cant have everything. House was very quiet and relaxing. Believe we will come back and will definately re rent this place.I may buy a kerig and leave it...

The house was very nice and private. It was clean and would be large enough for at least 6 people. It was great waking up to the sounds of birds and listening to the frogs at night. The beds were very comfortable and the electric blankets were appreciated. The only down fall was the bathrooms could use updating and we were unable to turn the water on in the shared bathroom bathtub. The bathroom off the main bedroom really could use an exhaust since everything seemed to stay damp. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cups, silverware and pans. Unfortunately it had no spices, not even any salt.All in all it was a lovely place to stay in for 4 nights. It was a great location to be able to travel a few minutes down the road to watch the volcano errupt.

Disappointed in this property. There is an overwhelming, unpleasant smell when you walk in. It is the dirtiest property I have ever stayed in. There are spider webs inside, even on the furniture. The shower in the 2nd bathroom does not work.

Cozy Cottage in the Jungle

Felt like we were in the middle of the jungle, loved listening to the wildlife while enjoying our more coffee out back. Close to Volcano National Park, which is why we were there.

Cozy house surrounded by gorgeous rainforest

The location of the house was spectacular. Lush rainforest on all sides. The house was very cozy with soft lighting, warm textiles, carpeted bedrooms and natural wood everywhere. The lanai had a rain cover which was great.

Great house close to Volcanos National Park

It's like your in the jungle of Hawaii close to the National Park. Everything was great although it was rainy and can get cold at night up at that elevation.

Jungle Volcano House

Perfect place for a family visiting the Big Island - especially if you plan to spend time at the National Park. This house was comfortable for a family of 6 and is super close to the park. We enjoyed being in the jungle and spending time on the lanai. The hydrangeas and other plants in the front area are beautiful, as well.

The location was nice and tranquil, beautiful mornings with nature at the back porch. The house needed to be aired out to get rid of the closed house smell. One of the showers did not work. Other than that we loved the place.

We reserved this for 5 nights but when we walked in the mildew was so bad that after the first night we got our money back and moved. There was one review that talked about mildew but all others seemed to say it was ok. The dehumidifier had a drain through the floor but that must have been clogged because the bucket filled up and with no one to empty it the unit would stop working. Vrbo treated us well and refunded our money for the other nights.

Beautiful property, comfortable home, clean and cozy!

We were in Hawai'i for the Merrie Monarch Festival in Hilo, but love to stay in Volcano, because it's so quiet and cool. This home is quiet and cozy and well equipped. 3 bedrooms allow for plenty of space for 3 or even 6 people. Would have loved to spend even more time in the home, but "Merrie Monarch, das why"! :)

Fantastic location and more than what we expected!

This property was great - set in the temperate rainforest area just 2 miles from the Volcano National Park. We walked around the neighborhood and enjoyed the meyer lemons from the property. The place was comfortable and had just about everything you need. We brought in some food to cook and the place had all the cooking ware you needed, etc. The fireplace was a dream as it does get cold at night. Loved the proximity to the park and we loved a visit to the golf course up the road from there and the Black sand beach about 45 mins beyond that. Great stay and we will be back for sure!

One of the 2 showers didn't work, NO water at all. Called management co. Casago Kona, spoke with a man who told me "It works, there's just a knob or something." I told him it was the same as the other shower, but the water wouldn't turn on. He said he would have the "On site manager call you and talk you through it." No one called. Cleanliness was poor, dirty silverware, pots and pans; sign in kitchen saying "must wash your dishes or will lose security deposit. Housekeeping not your maid. They are here to do quick turnovers." So the cleanliness of your dishes is dependent on who was there before you! Thick cob webs on windows and ceilings, dirty carpets. No kindling to start fire in wood burning stove which is only source of heat. Confusing structure of who to contact for questions/problems, different phone numbers in 3 different places. Address given in booking different than in email.

Property as expected. Should also note that drive ways is not paved dirt road and the dehumidifier is not draining using the tube had to empty it daily

Quiet and Close to Volcano Park

Charming, clean house tucked away in the forest, less than ten minutes from Volcano National Park and 45 minutes from Hilo. Not much daylight, and no central heat, but there's a wood stove (we didn't try though) and electric blankets on all the beds. The kitchen is well equipped, but we couldn't get the washing machine to work, and minimal consumables are provided, so guests are advised to bring shampoo and detergent if possible. The listing says it's wheelchair-accessible, but we caution that the front door is at the top of a staircase. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to others.

Great proximity to Volcano National park

Very close to Volcano National Park. We only stayed for 2 nights & spent most of our time out and about, but the living room was spacious enough for us to relax and watch a movie as a family. Home had all the supplies we needed. It was more “rustic” than I had mentally realized. I didn’t realize there is not just no heat but also no AC - but we were fine with the beds’ warm blankets and the weather was not humid. There were some bugs inside but the location is like a rainforest area so I’m not sure that is avoidable (plus with only being there 2 nights it wasn’t the end of the world).

Nice enough

Cosy and comfortable. Could have been cleaner. Some simple and small details like salt, pepper and shampoo would have been appreciated as well as a clean out of all the crap that other guests have left. This property is managed by a company rather than a person and it shows. it's normal that in this area the houses use rain water and most places have a filtration system. We were not made aware that this place did not have a functioning filtration system until after we arrived which I felt was poor communication.

We do supply a starter pack of salt, pepper and shampoos but if this somehow got missed we apologize. We would have happily brought some to the property for you had we known. Quiet remote jungle getaway in Volcano neighborhood

Kids loved the place and having their own cozy rooms with electric blankets. Was a nice change to go to cool/chilly Volcano after a week in the sun in Kona area. Fun to listen to the birds, watch the grouse. Volcano NP, lava tubes so close by. So fun to sightsee along saddle road when transiting across island. Clean, quiet. No ac or heat. Loud, always running dehumidifier. Complicated light switches. Limited overhead lighting brightness. Didn’t use the wood stove/heater, but was on the cusp of wanting it. Very hard to navigate rental car in and out of driveway.

Vacation

Great location for visiting volcanoes national park. There was a mistake about the cleaning. We arrived late in evening and property was not cleaned from prior guests. Contacted property manager and cleaning lady came at 10pm and made it right. So that part was excellent.
