We stayed over the Memotial Day weekend to visit an ailing family member. The house was perfect for our stay (5 adults). Felt instantly at home. One person worked remotely on Tuesday. The house was an easy 15 minute drive from family. Close to plenty of eating options - Five stars to Three Mothers Cafe and Goodness Gracious on Medical Center Drive. Check in and out was easy and directions were clear.
It was exactly in town where I wanted it to be and the size worked for our family. I would say that the Television could be updated and bigger. We enjoyed our peaceful sleep!
House sleeps 7 if someone sleeps on couch. It should only be advertised as 7 if couch pulls out. No blankets for the person sleeping on the couch. Light fixtures and vents are very dusty. House was unlocked when we arrived. Garbage was not taken out.TVâs are useless. Roku just spins most of the time. Volume and power controls donât work. You have to turn off the power strip to turn off TV. Light bulbs out and lamps donât workI would not stay here again.
Overall it was a pleasant stay at the property. The home is an older property that has some nice updates. The blinds are "lower scale" and the bathroom overhead fan cover was disgustingly dirty with clumped dust in the large bedroom at the rear of the home. There were ample dishes, pans etc. for cooking, a Keurig coffee maker and regular coffee pot, with provided coffee. That was a nice surprise. WiFi worked well.
The neighborhood was quiet, although the house across the street and to the left looks to be a little dicey, with several cars in the yard and random items on the porch and around the front of the home.
The location was perfect for us and the reason we were in Tennessee.
The house could really use a good deep cleaning and updating.
The master bath really needs a vanity for storage of personal items. Needs painting inside and out. The storage shed should be removed or fixed. We found it a bit scary since the doors didnât close. Remove the paint splatters off of the floors or refinish.
We had a flood and needed a temp home. Shelby was incredibly accommodating and quick to respond to any concerns that we had. It was a pleasure to stay there and recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay near downtown Murfreesboro!
The property was nicely decorated. A few items of concern. Extreme low water pressure at the kitchen sink. Kitchen and hallway bath had carpenter ants. The clothes dryer was not drying, the hallway bath tiles were damaged. Some black mold on the caulk in hallway bath wall tiles, No bath soap (just liquid soap at the laboratory) no hangers to hang your clothes. The master closet was the only closet with clothes hangin capabilities. Overall it was an OK experienced, buy will try to stay somewhere else next time.
The house was just as described, decorated quite nicely, very comfortable. The host was incredibly kind - we had a lock out experience (my fault) and he took very good care of us. The neighborhood is sketchy, but we had no problems at all - in fact were able to make friends with one of the neighbors in our short week. I would definitely tell people this is a great place to visit.
The Wilson House was a very pleasant, easily accessible property. It was clean and obviously taken care of. The owner was attentive and ensured that we had everything we needed. I would stay again!
We received a very warm welcome from our host, Shelby, who showed us some simple directions for the heating and air conditioning system. (at this time of the year in Tennessee one might need either warmth or cool even in the same day) My wife and I appreciated all the homey touches throughout the well supplied house. We really enjoyed the southern hospitality of all that we met in town. The house is walking distance to great restaurants and businesses and within easy access to several shopping areas and malls with even more good food places. But we were left in a quiet residential setting with a very good nightâs sleep each evening. We chose to use our fully equipped kitchen for our breakfast or lunch and the go out on the town for dinner. There is much to explore in Murfreesboro and activities for all ages. Our grand-daughter from Georgia and her family met us for several days. There was plenty to keep her entertained. The Patterson Park Pool and Activity Center was more than adequate for a ten year old. We are planning to take advantage of this refreshing retreat home again in the future.
Surprisingly spacious house on the edge of old Murfreesboro
The lot on which the house sits is narrow and deep, with plenty of space in the back yard for kids to run around if inclined. The interior is well equipped with three comfortable bedrooms, one of which has a kids' feel, kitchen and laundry facilities, with a roomy feel that is surprising from the square footage. The Public Square business district is walkable, with Memorial Boulevard in sight from the front yard, with access to eateries and a nearby CVS, for example. We plan to return.
Booked this home to attend my nephew's wedding. Super-easy to access with digital lock (and just-in-case key lockbox around back), and very thoughtfully decorated inside. The sheets and linens were top-notch, thicker than most hotels I've stayed in. If the kitchen had a few more supplies (pans, serving bowls) & there were chairs or somewhere to sit outside, I'd have given the fifth star. The place is conveniently located to plenty of food options and not more than 2 miles to anything you need.
We had 3 couples staying here for a wedding in town. We all had great space in our rooms and nice beds. Kitchen was in great condition for breakfast and lunch uses. Great central location in town. Only down size was dining room table was a little small even for 4 of us.
This property was perfect for our group visiting Murfreesboro for a youth sports tournament. The house is larger inside than it looks and was well-appointed with everything we needed for our week-long stay. The location is convenient to everything (downtown shops and restaurants, several larger shopping centers and malls, and the university campus). The host was very helpful and easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again if in the area!
