Maison de campagne rustique dans le sud de Lancaster avec une piscine commune.

Cette maison de campagne est nichée au cœur du pays Amish, dans le magnifique comté de Lancaster, dans le sud de la Pennsylvanie. La propriété est située dans une ferme sur une route de campagne tranquille, excellente pour marcher / faire du vélo sur certaines des plus belles terres agricoles du comté de lancaster. Nous sommes situés à 20 minutes de la plupart des principales attractions de la région, des points de vente, du parc d'attractions Dutch Wonderland, du théâtre Sight and Sound. Une heure de Hershey en Pennsylvanie. et Philadelphie.
À 10 minutes de route, vous trouverez un parc aux loups propice à la randonnée et à la marche et au parcours de golf mocassin Run.

Notre maison du XIXe siècle comprend une cuisine entièrement équipée, un salon et une salle à manger. La plus grande de ses deux chambres a deux lits queen. Le plus petit a un lit queen size. nous avons également un matelas pneumatique disponible. Nous fournissons les draps pour un maximum de 8 personnes. 3 salles de bains dont une avec baignoire sur pattes, les 2 autres avec douche.


Pour une escapade tranquille à la campagne, le Miriam's Guest House est un lieu de retraite idéal pour votre famille ou votre petit groupe. Profitez d'une journée d'été ensoleillée pour vous détendre sur le porche, détendez-vous dans la piscine à la disposition de nos hôtes, également partagée par les propriétaires. aire de jeux pour les enfants, grillades sur la terrasse, soirées agréables autour du feu de camp. Pendant les mois d'hiver et les soirées fraîches, détendez-vous au coin du feu. N'hésitez pas à dire bonjour aux nombreux animaux de notre ferme, nous avons un cheval, Jenny, l'âne amical qui erre parfois dans les lieux, floue le chat qui vient au porche pour une visite. Et notre dernière addition, Ethel, une vache écossaise Highlander.



Prenez vos fruits et légumes frais cultivés chez vous dans les kiosques à fruits et légumes voisins et venez faire vos courses dans notre magasin local Amish, à l'épicerie sunrise. Situé à 1/4 mile de nous.

Il y a aussi une machine à café Kerig (avec une cafetière ordinaire) dans la cuisine, il vous suffit de fournir les kcups.

Sight and sound weekend

We stayed for a weekend getaway. 4 adults and 3 kiddos and we had plenty of space. The experience was absolutely Perfect and more than I had even expected. The property, animals and swing set kept the kids so busy we didn’t even end up leaving the house on our off day. The property was clean and updated while still keeping the charm of the original home. The host was quick in response and very helpful along the way when we had some questions. Would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking to visit the area. We will be back for sure!

Beautiful cozy restored old farmhouse

We enjoyed our stay very much for a girls getaway. Not far from all the shopping and activities in Lancaster area. Cozy, peaceful place to stay. Enjoyed a fire in the fireplace. Plenty of space for 4 friends to relax. Highly recommend.

Our trip to the Lancaster area wouldnt have been as great without this amazing place to stay. Our host was great and the property was beautiful. Lots of time and places to take a deep breath and relax. We went to Sight and Sound which wasnt far from the farm and also went to a concert in Baltimore one night just over an hour away. It was great to meet our new farm friends and give them treats (ask permission). If you are looking for a home base in the Lancaster area, this is it. Kids would really enjoy the location. Lots of games available and special loft areas for them to sleep.. Top notch!

Great hostest

My family very much enjoyed our visit to Lancaster. Miriam was a wonderful host, we enjoyed meeting both her and her family. The house was very clean with most anything you might need. Very comfortable beds with made for a good nights rest for the next days adventures. We also enjoyed meeting and feeding Ethel the Scottish Highlander cow, Sandy the pony and Jenny the donkey. Miriam was very helpful with sharing her knowledge of the area with suggestions of places to visit, eat and just places to ride and view the beautiful countryside.

Mini Vacation

We had an absolutely lovely and very relaxing time at this property. We rent properties like this everytime we come to Lancaster and this one was the most nostalgic. Loved the quiet area, sitting on the porch, and listening to the clippity clop of the horse and buggies going down the back country road. Location was perfect. Also enjoyed interacting with the farm animals especially Zoey the Dalmation. The home was clean and comfortable. We did get our exercise as the home does have three levels and the steps are steep. Our hosts Omar and Mim were very accomadating and easy to communicate with about any issues. We would definitely stay here again.

So relaxing!!!

Quaintness meets modern. The farmhouse has all the charm of the 1800’s but the modern touches of the 21st century. Neither is over done. It was impeccably clean. Everything worked well. We only met Omar but everything else was self-explanatory. Their Dalmatian dog was amazing. So friendly. We felt our blood pressure drop as soon as we arrived. Well done!!!

Better than Disney World!

This was one of our most favorite family vacations to date. My son actually said “this house is better than Disney World!”. The pictures don’t do it justice. The detail of this house is incredible and it’s immaculately clean. It was the best stocked rental that we have ever stayed in. Mim was super sweet, and greeted us the day after our arrival. She gave us local suggestions for ice cream and Amish run stores which we went to and loved! This place was like a Magnolia Homes magazine, and we had visits from the farm animals, dogs, and cat daily. I’ve already sent this listing to a family member because I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Enjoyable family vacation

We traveled with our 4 kids ranging from 1-8 years old for a family vacation. the property was spacious clean and beautiful. The hostess was super responsive and helpful throughout our stay. They live on the same property but do not intrude at all. The house came with everything we needed for our kids games toys a highchair pack n' play. The kids loved the swingset outside and feeding the farm animals treats. We had a bit of drama with the pets (cat and dog) who were super friendly but some of our kids being real city kids were afraid of them. All of us enjoyed the charm of staying in an original farmhouse from the 19th century the exposed beams etc. but at the same time up to date with a washer dryer central AC and all kitchen appliances we needed. It was convenient to have 3 bathrooms on all 3 floors 2 with showers and with a clawfoot soaking tub. the surrounding area is full of Amish fields which were really interesting to watch as was the Amish grocery 0.5 miles away seeing them going about their life was fascinating. All in all we had a great time and would highly recommend this property.

We Love The Farmhouse!

This was our 3rd summer in a row staying at Mim and Omar’s guest house! And we plan to visit again and again! We absolutely love it for our family of 6 (2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 2 children) - it is beyond comfortable and clean, but also very charming. My kids love all the animals and the playground. We love that we have a lot of space. And it’s close enough to all the attractions (Dutch Wonderland, Strasburg Railroad, Kitchen Kettle Village, Hershey, etc). without being right on top of them. Mim and Omar are so nice and helpful, and very accommodating! Also, Mim is very responsive if you ever need anything (which most of the time, you likely won’t, since they’ve thought of it all). Definitely recommend staying here if you’re considering it!!

Beautiful property and kind people

Mim and Omar were excellent hosts. Their property is expertly maintained and their guest house has an abundance of character. Everything was clean and well stocked. The property is rural and quiet. We took a walk around the "block" (1.94mi) and met some of their neighbors. Everyone was friendly and very accommodating. Great place to stay while visiting Sight & Sound theater.

If you're going all the way to Amish country you might as well stay at a nice rural property like this one. It's away from the traffic and noise, has nice views, friendly animals and welcoming hosts. The house has lots of character and is well appointed.

Amazing vacation with friends at Mim's farmhouse

I would stay again and highly recommend this VRBO!!!! This farmhouse is spotless clean, beautiful, and has tons of character. Entry and communication was easy and Hostess Mim was welcoming and helpful, but never intrusive. It was perfect for us traveling with another couple. The third floor has two bedrooms separated by a hall. The full bathroom with a soaking tub, no shower, is at the other end of the hall near a sitting area. Perfect for those who need to use the restroom in the middle of the night. The second floor, or driveway level floor, has a bathroom with standup shower. This area is ideal for family time with a living room, beautiful working fireplace, and a kitchen table to play cards/ games. Minifridge and coffee maker for snacks and drinks. We enjoyed every moment. The first floor/walkout to patio and lawn area, has a full kitchen with absolutely everything you need to cook/serve a meal if you wish. We loved having meals in the kitchen as well as on the patio. This floor also has a bathroom with standup shower. The washer and dryer are in the utility room . Very convenient. There is so much to do in the area. We enjoyed Sight & Sound Theater, Longwood Gardens, Classic Auto Mall, Kitchen Kettle Village, and viewing the gorgeous scenery! Don't miss: "Hometown Kitchen" in Quarryville "Casey Jones' Restaurant" in Ronks "Harvest Cafe" (quick meal) "Heritage Restaurant" near Classic Auto Mall

The Perfect Country Weekend Escape!

My friends and I booked this home for a weekend escape from the city over Presidents Day. It was everything we could have wanted and more! First, the check in process was seamless. The land was so beautiful and the house was spectacular. Ethel, Jenny, Sandy, Fuzzy, and Zoey made us feel very welcome and we could not get enough of them. We wanted to take them all home with us! Miriam and Omar were so kind and responsive. Omar even showed us around the farm one morning. We will absolutely be back! Would recommend this stay to anyone.

Best relaxing vacation

This is not our first time here, we stayed with my kids and my in-laws, this house is just so beautiful and cozy, even my teens found themselves reading books and falling asleep by the fireplace, we all enjoyed the peaceful farm surroundings, took walks around the neighborhood, played and pet all the awesome animals, went to local stores and ate some fresh veggies and Amish made foods, we just feel so comfortable and relax every time we are there, the owners are absolutely lovely and accommodating, truly wonderful people. We feel blessed to be able to have a vacation that is not just a place to sleep but an amazing experience overall. We recommend this place 110%. Thank you, from the Heidingers.
