We picked this property for its location and it could not have been better. We visited Biltmore, the Asheville Pinball Museum, the downtown murals and the Blue Ridge Parkway. All were within 15-20 minutes. The house is a bit dated, but certainly not enough to prevent us from staying again. The toilet in the hall bath rocks somewhat. We struggled with the TV in the living room, but the one in the front room worked fine for us, so I didnât bother to call. Again, we definitely would book again. Communication was perfect on all counts. Best of all, the house is one floor with bedrooms all in one hallway. With three adults in our 70s and one special needs young man in his 30s, that was perfect!
Shall we start from the beginning. Tried to reach you for early check in but did not receive a response until early evening. Shortly after we arrived there was a knock on the door from the air man that stated he needed to do some work on AC system. We said ok and he was there for about three hours sawing hampering and vacuuming. That night I had trouble trying to get charter/spectrum tv to realize the tv was set to wrong source. I tried to access my Amazon prime account and Amazon prime told me to try a few functions only to be told I needed the previous account set numbers from previous guest. The next morning we noticed caked on dirt on the one baking pan and numerous scratches on by ALL the other pans. There were no wooden spooned and soiled plastic ones. We then went to the stove and there were cob webs on stove vent hood. Then we checked the double ovens you could see the caked on oven spray on both ovens even though they were self cleaning. Now to the outdoor gas grill dirty and the propane tank also filthy. A wet dirty red rag was also at the bottom of the grill. During with our conversations you stated u were going to get rid of ur cleaning lady but have not. You need to take responsibility especially since you live close by. We have had numerous phone conversations and you provided 2 new frying pans and 50.00. Also no internet until about 10:00 pm due to a near by accident. In addition the freezer portion of the frig was set to 34 degrees.
We had a great time. House is close to most things, but still provides peace and privacy. We even saw a mama bear and 3 cubs in the evenings. Owner was easy to reach and had a few good recommendations for activities and food.
The property was immaculate and so much space! Everything you could want was provided.Host was very responsive when we sent her a message. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was conveniently located to everything. Outdoor space was great, large back deck and spacious yard.
Lovely comfortable house in a prime location. We had a great stay and found everything we needed at the location. We loved sitting on the deck in the mornings. Wish our stay could have been longer. We would love to book again for a longer stay. Forgot to mention, the bedding was Very nice and our host was great.
I booked this home for a girls trip (4 of us) to Asheville. The home is spacious, very well maintained for its age (built in the 80âs) and is on a large partially wooded lot. We were thrilled seeing fireflies in the evening on the deck, and liked having a kitchen for meal options. The turn off into the neighborhood from the main road is not well marked (no street sign), and would be tricky if you were arriving at night. The kitchen, living areas, bedrooms, and master bath were immaculately clean. The hallway bathroomâs tub/shower had mold growing around the tub edge by the tile. We had to search for extra toilet paper (which could easily have been stored in each bathroomâs cabinet). The owner was responsive albeit a bit slow at times. Overall the home is a very good value and well suited for an adult stayâespecially 3 couples. One woman in our group slept on the sofa bed (we had anticipated this from the listing description). The location provided easy access to main highways. We would definitely stay there again when in the area.
We stayed here while in town for our daughter's graduation from UNCA. We hosted a cookout to celebrate with 17 people and it was the perfect space for it. We especially enjoyed the deck, yard for playing lawn games, grill, and making s'mores around the fire pit. There was plenty of room for people to gather inside as well. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!
We had some initial confusion at check in, but it was resolved promptly and professionally, earning a 5 star rating. Clean, comfortable, and affordable, we will be traveling to the area again soon and will look to stay here again.
Upon arrival weâre impressed with the great quiet location and beautiful setting. Home very welcoming and clean, the best linens! Ideal Asheville location, close to everything yet private, perfect! Weather was nice so everyone enjoyed the fire pit. Donât hesitate, itâs got it all!
This cozy home was immaculately clean. We really enjoyed the living room spaces and the comfortable beds! We would definitely rent this home again in the future.
Nice house on a large wooded lot. Very clean and comfortable It looks like beautiful original hardwood in the doors, flooring and kitchen that have been well maintained or professionally restored. Bent Creek mountain bike trails are very close (we rode from the house one day) and very close to town and other attractions. Usually, I have staid a little closer to Brevard, but everyone in our party seemed to like this location better.
This neighborhood is very convenient, but still rural. You can be on the parkway with beautiful views within a mile or you can be in downtown Asheville in a few miles. This house is on 11 acres so you see neighbors but you donât have to be too close to them.
