We have stayed here 5 times for our family Christmas celebration. Plenty of room for everyone to come and eat and congregate for the day. Enough room for 6 to sleep. Absolutely perfect for a weekend stay!
If you are looking for a short, or long getaway, this is your place! It is so quiet and relaxing. There are ducks, geese and a very ornery peacock that my husband named Earl. He LOVES snacks! He is quite voiceterous and very beautiful. The pond is full of fish! Be sure to get permission to catch and release. The owners are very kind and quick to respond on any issues or questions. Enjoy some time at this cabin! You will not be disappointed.
My wife and I had such a wonderful time. The cabin and amenities were just amazing. Everything was clean and there were plenty of lighting. The kitchen is marvelous! We enjoyed the hot tub even with the temperature outside a chilly forty degrees. We will definitely, Lord willing, come back for future stays. We enjoyed it that much. I also have to mention the beautiful peacock that wondered the grounds. My wife named him Lloyd! He was so cool!Fully recommended! A
Thank you for the quick get away. You have a wonderful place and it was very clean and cozy! The peacock was interesting to watch throughout our stay. We will definitely be coming back!
Came here for a long 4th of July holiday with the family. Beautiful property and yard as pictured in the listing! The huge windows let in so much light and it's fun to watch the ducks and peacock (we fondly named him Harold) throughout the day. Initially had some disability access issues with host but ended up getting the necessary accommodations.
We had an amazing getaway. The cabin is beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice. We needed a relaxing weekend after dealing with the loss of a son, brother nephew and friend (all the same person). We were able to laugh and cry⊠and start our healing process. We will definitely be making this an annual event.
We met our out-of-state brother and his wife there. We spent a lot of time talking in the sunroom and around the bar in the kitchen. We went antiquing every day, but couldn't wait to get back to the tranquility of the cabin. We cooked most of our meals there and thought there weren't enough eating utensils and dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
What a great cabin!! The pictures do not do justice for the detailed perfection that the owners have built. The outside property is an oasis-a woodies lot with pond, hot tub, and built in stone walk way. So gorgeous. The house itself is more than you could ask for. They even added a Christmas tree to add to the already perfect decor. 1000 timeâs recommend and will be back if Iâm ever in the area again.
The place is beautiful decorated and you feel like your miles away from anyone. We were able to have a wonderful Thanksgiving with our family. We put away the cell phones and just had family time. The outside weather was cold but we were able to enjoy the hot tub and took in the surroundings. We ventured out a couple of times but most of our stay was in the cabin. We will most definitely be back during warmer weather. The kitchen is amazing!!!
"Paradise Found: A Review of Our Short Vacation Stay"
The cabin itself was a sight to behold, boasting rustic charm coupled with modern comforts. The spacious living area was adorned with cozy furnishings, inviting us to unwind and bask in the tranquility of our surroundings. Large windows offered breathtaking views of the surrounding nature, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature from the comfort of our abode.
In conclusion, our time at this serene cabin retreat was nothing short of magical. If you're seeking a getaway where tranquility reigns supreme and nature's beauty takes center stage, look no further. We left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already counting down the days until our next visit to this idyllic haven.

The home and the grounds were lovely. The home was spacious and offered every amenity. The only drawback was the furniture. It was very uncomfortable. The sofas kept throwing you to the middle. The mattress was very jiggly. The outdoor furniture was all wrought iron, extremely heavy and unsuitable for sunbathing. The tiny red mites prevented laying on a towel outside. I guess people who stay there go for the shopping or other sights. But for us who just wanted to retreat for quiet, it didn't work very well. Again, a beautiful property, but uncomfortable place to stay and not very relaxing.
We loved everything about the cabin. We had below zero temps and yet we were warm and cozy. We made a number of trips to Amish restaurants, cheese factories, antique stores etc. during our stay. You can settle in here and breathe.
The house and property were beautiful and represented well in the pictures. The main issue we had with this property was the sleeping arrangements. The listing showed two bedrooms but three beds, which we thought would be perfect for the five of us gals. However, one of the beds was actually a sleeper sofa, which we did not find comfortable. We addressed this with the host, and she has since updated the listing to reflect that one of the beds is a sleeper sofa. In addition, the king bed on the first floor was higher than we expected, so it may be difficult for some people to get in and out of (as we found). We also notified the host that the bathtub drain was not working, and she assured us that it would be checked out. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the friendly peacock that visited us every day (we named him Petie). The host was very responsive to our questions and concerns.
