I would like to take some time to respond to your review and clarify some things for others who may be reading. You stayed in the property the entire reservation, did not answer calls when we attempted to resolve complaints, and then demanded a full refund. You requested an early check in, which I obliged. I explained the home had not been cleaned but I would be willing to immediately go by the home rather than the next day to take care of it so you would have a place to go when you got into town. I became aware of the bathroom pipe leaking during your stay. I put in a work order for it. After your stay, I discovered a drip under a pipe with a towel to catch the water. I’m sorry this happened during your stay but it was just a drip and a work order was immediately submitted. 2) The basement has some missing ceiling tiles. It is cosmetic in nature but we haven’t found that to be important to past guests. I have put in a work order in case it bothers future guests. 3) There is a trundle in the basement. It is tucked under a twin bed and needs to be pulled out. The house sleeps 17 if you count 2 people per double bed, and 1 person per twin. I understand if you don’t prefer to sleep that close, but that is the standard practice for counting how many people can sleep in a hotel or short term rental. 4) I am in the house before and after each guest and I have never found a problem with bugs or an infestation. I could not find any signs of this after your stay either. 5) I checked the a/c unit after this review and it is completely secure. 6) The trash containers outside did have items in them when you arrived. The previous guest did not put them to the curb on Thursday as instructed. You didn’t put it out on Thursday as instructed either, so they were still filled with items when you left. I have since taken care of it. 7) You were unsatisfied with the lack of multiple tvs, microwave, and lack of fenced backyard, but none of these items are advertised. I received 2 communications from you during your stay. The first one was regarding the a/c not working and missing ceiling tiles. I instructed you (via voicemail and message on the portal) that the switch on the wall needed to be turned on for the a/c to work. This solved your problem. I then received a message from you on the portal letting me know that you would be requesting a stop payment on the grounds of: leak in the bathroom (my first notification of this) missing ceiling tiles trash in the trashcans outside basement (beds were all used by you and your guests and trash/vaping supplies/ needles were left behind) 1 television (we do not advertise multiple) No microwave (not advertised) You called and left us messages on the portal several times after your stay wanting a refund. I returned your calls and left a voicemail when you didn’t answer. You did not pick up the phone. You stayed in the home the entire stay and used every room. You left trash, vaping kits, and needles in the basement. Your complaints involved items that just weren’t advertised or simple work orders that can be remedied. You have to remember, you are staying in a home built in the 1930’s. It’s not a hotel made to feel old. It really is old. We maintain it but there are always items that are going to pop up and need attention. We thank you for your feedback and we will be addressing the items we are able.
