Family Time at the Lake

The home was perfect for our vacation with our kids and grandkids! We enjoyed cruising on the lake, fishing off the dock, kayaking, playing in the sand (well the grandkids loved it) and the views from the deck and yard. The home was clean and had just about everything you could need. Thanks for sharing your home!

Perfect!

This home is beautiful! We stayed with 7 adults and 6 kids for three nights. Both kids and adults were thrilled with the arrangements. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cooking equipment. We would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake.

Cabin is beautifully done and plenty of room for 9 of us. Also neighbors are further away so get complete privacy. Lake/dock was right behind which made it really easy accessible. The owners are really nice and gets back to you right away with any questions you may have.There was a store mabe 6 minutes away that sold bait / gas station and adult beverages on other half. Or had a bait shop and shopping places about 25 minutes away.Will keep this cabin info when ready for another little get away.

Excellent!!!

Our family had a wonderful experience with this property. The lake home was lovely, comfortable, well supplied, spacious, and well decorated. Lots of sleeping space, convenient laundry room. The boat, kayaks were a great addition. Owners made registration, check- in, the whole process easy. They provided valuable information, good restaurants, activities, etc. I would highly recommend this property. Thank you Scott & Jenna!!

Up North Decor but neighborhood feel

The decor and cleanliness of this house was amazing. We brought some friends with us that are frequent travelers. They loved this updated house! We loved the way this place was decorated and the awesome open space with well supplied kitchen. Bathrooms completely updated also. The lighting installed in the main living area upstairs is the new chandelier type and created some shadows and glare. A couple suggestions are to put mirrors in the two bedrooms that have to share a bathroom upstairs. Also, one of our party had trouble getting up the front steps because there is no railing. She uses a cane and is quite wobbly. Also, the downstairs is extremely cool with no way to get warm. Maybe some electric baseboard heat? The reason for the lower rating is a pet peeve of mine. The pictures of this house do not honestly display that it is in a tight neighborhood on a narrow peninsula with very close neighbors. In high tourist season, it no doubt is very busy with all the people coming and going. When you can't see what is on either side of the house, it is a good idea to ask questions. Overall we loved our stay because it was a quiet fall week and great views of the lake. I try to be as honest as possible in my reviews because I want others to do the same. We just want to know what to expect.

Great place!

This place met all our needs! 2 family rooms, 4 bedrooms, great sand area for the little ones with toys, lounge chairs, a beautiful camp fire area, great fishing off the dock for the little kids, great deck to view the lake, great AC and hot water. A large table in the basement for games and puzzles would have been nice and we would have used that area more. Tons of sleeping space! Great laundry facilities. The pontoon boat was a beautiful addition to our vacation! The kitchen was well stocked and everything was very clean!

Great cabin, with fantastic use of space. Nicely decorated and clean. Nice touches with luggage racks and fans in every room. Owners were very responsive. We had a fun week!

Our week at the lake house was just what we were hoping for: relaxing! So much so, that we booked it again for next summer. The house has all the right feels. The dock is just what we were hoping for. The boat was spacious enough for all of to stretch out. Thank you for sharing your property!

Beautiful Lake, Beautiful House. Peace and Relaxation with our Family. Priceless!!!!

We will definitely be going back up north for sure. The Peace and Beauty of this place was everything my family needed to unwind and relax. Bonfire's, Boat rides, kayaking, fishing and just spending time with my family. Scott, Jenna and Ed did a wonderful job making us all feel at home. I could not thank them enough.

Beautiful!

This property was a rare combination of a fantastic house, big, clear lake, and great outdoor amenities! We've stayed at many VRBO lake houses over the years, and this is really the only one that checked all the boxes! There was plenty of room for us all to stretch out, and even on the only rainy afternoon we had we were glad to just hang out in the house. The house was clearly recently redone, and very well at that. It was more like a luxury resort than a cabin! There was even a welcome package with treats, and each bathroom had complimentary soaps and lotions. The kids really enjoyed kayaking, and we rented the pontoon, which was fantastic and fun- very user friendly with its electric lift. Sylvan lake is super clear, and big enough for all the water sports. There's fun shopping at nearby Nisswa; lots of quaint and quirky little shops. All in all loved our stay at the Lakehouse Up North. :) Thanks for sharing your great property with us!

The Lakehouse up North is absolutely perfect! Beautifully and thoughtfully designed, trendy but classic, super comfy and cozy. One person in our group even said they wanted the plans for the house, because it was SO perfect. We had a blast. Thanks for a great trip!

Better than Expected!!!

We stayed at this beautiful home for a girl's cousin's, sisters, nieces weekend. We truly enjoyed our time! Home was actually better than the pictures showed! Beautiful kitchen area, plently of seating area, sleeping area and huge sectional couch in downstairs that worked great for movie night!!! Will stay again if we visit this area!!
