Cabin close enough to all the activities of the area, while still serving as a nice private mountain getaway. Any questions we had were responded to in a prompt responsive manner.
The cabin was easy to find and really convenient to all the Wears Valley amenities while still feeling very private. Well taken care of property and super responsive management when we had questions. Communication was clear and easy to follow for check-in and check-out.
Clearly the pictures don't tell you about the leaking roof in the kitchen and making one of the upstairs bedrooms unsleepable during rain storm, the grill that may catch the entire deck on fire because it hasn't been clean (maybe ever), the poor lighting, the constant plumbing issues and just the overall outdatedness of everything. Glad we didn't spend much time in the house, so many things to do and the location is great but not worth the price.
We enjoyed our stay there was plenty of room for our group. Only thing that wouldâve been nice was a fire pit outside. The kids really wanted to have a fire and roast marshmallows and hotdogs but there wasnât a place outside in the yard area to do that.
The location was nice, but the property needs a lot of TLC. The main issue is that the roof leaks and with rain almost every day, this was a huge issue. The carpet is in poor condition, there are holes in the walls, several places with water damage, mold, and general decay. The property grounds where littered with trash. This property ranks at the bottom of our VRBO list.
House had a great location between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. House was a little beat up and could use a deep cleaning, but view was nice and location was super convenient đ
Loves the view and the bedrooms were great. Hot tub was questionable so we didn't use. Not enough chairs at table and not enough places to sit in the sitting room yet a lot of room to have couches and chairs
The cabin is absolutely beautiful, could have used just a little more detail to the corners, but wasnât nothing that we couldnât live with. Beautiful view nice and quiet short drive to attractions. We only had one issue but were able to handle it without calling anyone. Would highly recommend this place and Bear Camp.
This was our second time in the area and first time with this Mngmnt Co. Location. Over all it was ok, the location was what we were looking for, Mountain Viewâs and far enough outside of the touristy hoopla. Love Wears Valley all the little shops and the restaurants as well.
We had some small issues with the cabin but overall we were very happy.
After a very bad experience with another property manager, we were able to secure this rental on the spur of the moment. Bear Cabin Rentals fast tracked us through the process and followed up to ensure everything went well. They saved our vacation and were friendly, professional and accommodating. Thanks!
Wonderful place to stay with a large family or group. It is in the woods so there will be bugs but the cabin is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Breathtaking views as you are very HIGH in the mountains so the drive up & down aren't for those afraid of heights. Cell service was a bit sketchy but internet was fine. We did have some issues with lights not working correctly in the main floor bathroom and leaking from the ceiling. They came immediately to try to address. In their defense, the entire Sevierville area was experiencing biblical level flooding at the time of our stay which forced the bugs inside and everything (roofs, roads, and resources) was pushed to its limits. We were forced to evacuate the area due to heavy rains, mudslides, etc. as were many people to avoid being trapped. This had NOTHING to do with the cabin or company! They were amazingly accommodating & immediately stepped up to help us try to find alternative lodging before we could even ask. During our quick escape I realized I had left a quilt made by my mom. They located the quilt and mailed it to me at no charge the next day after I called them. It is a truly beautiful area and cabin for a rustic getaway and we loved our brief but eventful stay. We would absolutely come back.
This place is a roach hole! Appliances were broken, tvâs didnât work, infestation of bugs and they did nothing to compromise the situation. Read reviews everybody, donât waste your money, there are plenty of much, much nicer cabins out there. And whatâs sadder is VRBO represents these places. I selected one star because I couldnât send this message without selecting something, otherwise it would be a âZEROâ!!!!
The hot tub water is a little musty, but sometimes that canât be helped. Suggest to bring your own pots and pans as these are older and stick a lot easier. Otherwise, the cabin is very nice and a nice location. Owners were great and swift to answer questions and address issues through the app messenger. Very spacious cabin. Plenty of room to move around. We would be happy to stay again!
Our family had a wonderful time in Pigeon Forge this week, staying at the cabin Mountain Time. The cabin is fully equipped and there was plenty of room for us to stretch out and play!
Our stay began by being rained on INSIDE at the kitchen table while eating dinner. The roof is full of leaks and the gutters need to be replaced so water was coming in from everywhere and there weren't enough towels to wipe it up. Lots of things were broken such as the bathroom sink drains, the bathroom sink handle, there was only enough hot water for 1 and 1/2 showers in a cabin that sleeps 10, the pool sticks did not have the tips on them or chalk, the blinds didn't work properly, the windows in the living room or so foggy you couldn't see out of them, and the list continues. They really need to fix up this cabin before booking another stay. Also, we booked this cabin for the beautiful Mountain View that you see in the picture online. However, when we got there we noticed that picture had to be at least 15 years old because the trees have grown up so high that you can only see a small portion of that Mountain View. Our stay was very disappointing and we will never return to this cabin. On a good note, the surrounding area was beautiful and the river in Townsend was a perfect place to tube all day.
Well we booked the cabin as a family trip for spring break. Total of the family was 8. Driving up to the cabin was a little steep but well worth it. Once we walked in the cabin was very clean, neat, and very spacious. It was fully equipped for a family of our size plus more. We will be coming back at least every year.
