We were quite disappointed with this house. Although the location was excellent, just a block or two from the main shopping/dining in Seward and Resurrection Bay, the house itself was not in very good condition. The front door really sticks and was very difficult to unlock and lock. The furniture is very old. The twin beds in the 2 smaller rooms are basically just cots - very narrow and thin mattresses. The master bathroom is tiny, with barely room for a toothbrush and toothpaste on the sink - although the shower water pressure was very good. The other bathroom was much bigger. Master bedroom door did not latch closed. The wifi was very unreliable and very slow when it did work - and there was basically no cell service. We also couldn't get the TV to stream anything because the internet signal was so weak. Although it is a small house, the common areas (living room, kitchen, dining room) are quite roomy. There is a large, semi-private yard and a single spot for parking. Reminder that there is no laundry on site. We were there the night that the town was evacuated due to a tsunami warning after the 8.2 earthquake and really did appreciate getting a call from the property manager making sure that we were ok - that was very nice of her! But overall, I can't recommend this property for anything but the most basic of stays.
The place is generally OK, though some improvements could be made: The manager never pickup our phone call; no heating in bedrooms; the beds are tooo short: No laundry devices.
Very convenient location, amazing for family with kids as thereâs a park right across the street. Beds are comfy and got good sleep there! We would stay again.
This is the first time I have not had all the information I needed to get into my VRBO rental. In email and on the app I could not find a door code or any contact info other than the name of the owner. Seward is a small town so a quick google search got me the phone number of the owner and the entry code issue was resolved. Owner let us check in early. That was a bonus. The place was nice and convenient to downtown. I also could not find a check out time. I am not sure if the communication challenges were VRBO related or owner fed info. All were resolved with no issues.
We stayed here for an early morning fishing charter the next day. Great location, within walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops. Comfortable for what we needed.
Perfect downtown location and in walking distance to everything
We were in town for just the one night, house a a perfect layout for our purposes. It was clean, plenty of spaces for sleeping and a perfect location for walking anywhere downtown.
Came with family from Anchorage. Perfect location, can walk to everything downtown. Very clean and tidy. Only drawback is that there is only one actual bed in the house; the queen bed. The other two rooms have just twin cots which are horrifically uncomfortable! They should really think of replacing the cots in the small room with two real twin beds and then in the larger room have twin beds that can convert into a California king bed. This is a lovely little rental and could be immensely improved if the cots are removed and replaced with real beds.
This property was very comfortable, and had a perfect location in Seward, very close to the Sea Life Center. We had 6 adults and one baby and couldn't have asked for a better property for our stay.
The property and amenities totally fit our needs. We where a group of 6 adults visiting the area as tourists. We would stay here again if we are ever in the area.
