Boulderdash Cabin & RV Park

Bienvenue à Boulderdash! Enlevez vos bottes et passez du temps assis sur le porche à regarder la rivière passer !! Une superficie sereine sur la rivière Medina, à 15 km de Bandera. 140 '+ de ligne de flottaison ou si vous voulez la vie nocturne, Bandera est le cœur battant de la région. Apportez donc vos bottes, chapeaux, crème solaire et stores et venez passer un week-end ou plus dans notre petit coin de paradis.

L'espace

Nous sommes un peu hors des sentiers battus mais ça vaut le coup. Boulderdash a deux niveaux, avec une cabane rustique confortable au niveau de la rivière. Nous avons également 4 emplacements de camping avec une vue spectaculaire au niveau supérieur, qui peuvent être loués en conjonction avec une cabine. Envoyez-nous un message pour les instructions de réservation.

Accès invité

La rivière Medina propose du canotage, du kayak (deux kayaks pour 1 personne avec cabine) ou de la natation, il y a beaucoup de poissons pour les pêcheurs. La vie sauvage est abondante, donc les vues sont riches.

Everything We Were Looking For

Couldn't have asked for a better host or nicer weekend getaway with family. The cabin was very clean and so well stocked - most towels of any place we've ever stayed! :) Great time, accommodations, and host.

We enjoyed our stay here at the cabin and exploring around the river/stream. Unfortunately, the water levels are low, but we knew this coming in and we were able to put a few seats in the water and dip our toes in.The cabin had everything we needed, and we appreciate that they included some additional items like face wipes, hand, soaps, Q-tips, etc.Our family is used to being on well water so just wanna mention to families visiting …if you use the hot water you may have a sulfur type smell, which is completely normal. We like the proximity to Bandera and exploring the town. It’s a great little place to be if you’re trying to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Family friendly weekend getaway

This cabin was perfect for a group of 9. It had everything we needed and I appreciate the amount of towels available. There was great outdoor space on the porch and in front for safe kid friendly space. The kids had a blast and can’t wait to go back.

Great getaway

Spotless cabin, comfy bed and stocked with everything you need. Thoughtful owners who obviously care about their guests. Lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves and enjoyed the river, fires at night and all the great spots to relax. Especially loved feeding the deer that were feet from us as well as the birds and squirrels. Even saw a fox! We would definitely return, and you won't be disappointed with this beautiful spot.

Y"all should've been here last summer!! Water was up to the second step on the bulkhead!! I have to admit though I like it somewhere in the middle...the boat traffic when its full is awful!! Thanks so much Ted!

Very fun trip

My family wanted to take a trip with the kids to get away from it all but at the same time be responsible from a health perspective. The place was super clean and remote and was the perfect vacation during these uncertain times. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Weekend

We had such a great time at the Boulderdash cabin. The property is gorgeous and has great river access. The cabin was clean and well stocked with anything you could possibly need to stay. The owners and camp host were wonderful and very helpful. We hope to be back again!

Great cabin with awesome views

We very much enjoyed our stay. The views were great and there is plenty of room for kids to explore. The river was low, but that didn't dampen the fun we had. The location is a little secluded, but still close to State parks and the town of Bandera. All in all, if you want a peaceful spot, this is the place.

Exceptional place

We went for a long family weekend, 4 adults and 2 kids. Perfect setting: clen, convenient, gorgeous view over the Medina River. A detail telling everything about the attention to comfort for the guests: a lot of towels are available! We found our local vacation spot, count on us to come back!

The cabin was very cozy, clean and has everything u need, the river just a few steps away and the host were awesome. My kids loved every minute of it. We’ll definitely come back.

So relaxing

My husband and I truly enjoyed our trip to the cabin. We really enjoyed our walk along the river and sat on the front porch and listened to the water flowing. The cabin was spotless and had way more room then what we were expecting. Also the bed was very comfortable.

Great time away

Property was perfect, and had everything we needed. Enjoyed feeding all the critters. Deer, squirrels, turkeys, Porcupine, birds etc. house was extremely comfortable! Hated to leave. Back home and missing the porch already.

Beautiful scenery

We enjoyed the quiet peaceful atmosphere that this cabin had to offer. Even though the Medina water level is low, we were able find enough water to float on tubes and enjoy the natural surroundings. This place had everything we needed to cookout and a spacious porch to hang out in the morning. Carol and Lyn were great hostesses! We will definitely be back.

Annular Solar Eclipse Oct. 2023

Our Eclipse experience was made immaculate by the setting of this gorgeous property & river access…. It was the perfect place for family & close friends to share experiences together and make memories. Lots of beds for everyone, a good kitchen for family meals, and the best spot for relaxing adventures…! Highly recommend!!!

Cozy cabin in a great location on the river

Location is amazing- lovely to sit on the porch in the morning looking out at the river. We loved kayaking and skimming stones on the river. Lovely that our dog could go loose. The firepit and loungers by the river at night was a highlight. And smores! The cabin was cozy, comfortable and very well equipped . We really felt like we escaped to nature for a few days.

Cabin was extremely clean, and hosts were friendly!

When first getting to the property. The host family that runs the place, are SUPER friendly! They were extremely helpful and even wheeled down the wood that we paid for. The house was extremely clean, and there was plenty of towels provided. My family will for sure be returning, and we will HIGHLY recommend to anyone else!

Wonderful! A hill country haven!

What a special place to relax and enjoy the Medina! The cabin was clean, very well equipped and so comfortable! The covered deck facing the river provided a lovely place to watch the birds, the river, and families enjoying this fantastic setting. My dog enjoyed it as much as I did! Best of all, the owners and the camp host were amazing.., welcoming and attentive. I would recommend Boulderdash cabin! I know I will be back as soon as I can!!

What a delight!

We loved our stay in the cabin! The whole team was so friendly and helpful with any questions. They even helped us with our flat tire. The beds were clean, soft, and comfortable. The kitchen and bath were well stocked. Access to the river is quick and easy. We loved getting to feed to deer, birds, and squirrels. Our dog loved the large porch. We definitely plan to come back!

Lyn Is from Iowa & Carol-anne is from Alberta Canada, we bought this property in 2017 with hopes of retiring here which we did in 2021! Lyn is retired military, and Carol-anne is a retired critical care RN. We are both pretty social and really love meeting new people. This property has been such a blessing that we couldn't help but share it with others!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The neighborhood is not what sold us, and you will understand that when you come. Lyn and I are always looking for a diamond in the rough, and I believe we found it here! We are both very involved in trying to get this area cleaned up, and back to its previous glory! Lyn is very involved with the POA as well as our local VFD. I run a community facebook page and organize trash pick ups & fund raise for our dirt roads. We both have a vision and see Lake Medina Shores only getting better in the next 5 years! The area is truly beautiful.

Our property is unique because its off the beaten path, Its topography is very unique with the huge limestone boulders and cliffs that offer lovely views. We are also SMALL, we have an option for every sort of nature lover from tent sites to this fully stocked cabin. Please like us on Facebook!
