If you are looking for sleek, modern accomodations - this house probably isn't for you. If you love history and old farmhouses - it is perfect. We loved it!
This property exudes history; established in the post-Civil War expansion, Lasater Ranch is a quiet, elegant old lady.We loved the modern kitchen, large, cool rooms, and the screened porch.Thank you, and we salute you for preserving this beauty.
The farmhouse was perfect for our weekend stay. There was plenty of room for our party of 12. The kitchen was well equipped and had all needed amenities. The decor was authentic to a farmhouse that has been in a family for over a century and the host included information on the properties history. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous with century old trees and even some pet ducks and a pond. Highly recommend!
Wonderful to be close enough to town yet be out in the country. Spacious house, lots of room for everyone and with a screened, wrap around porch, the evenings are nice.
This was a beautiful property and we enjoyed our stay there. We didn't spend much time on the property due to our schedule, it would be a great place to come just to relax.
This was a great house for Christmas. The spacious downstairs was ver accommodating for a Christmas dinner and family gathering. The Christmas tree and various decorations made it feel more festive. The property is beautiful and serene.
Our family loved our weekend at the ranch. There was plenty of space for our big group. We love older homes with their unique details. You can tell that the property owner is working their way through updates - some rooms have more charm, a couple spaces have eyebrow raising quirkiness and need updating. But the property worked for us and we had a great time!
This large historic house was perfect for our large family group vacation. Lots of room for everyone to find privacy or hangout together. The porch was perfect looking out over the wheat fields, and the park-like grounds were great for barbeques, reading books, or a slackline competition! Close to town, but not in an area of high traffic makes this location perfect for launching bike sorties or visiting the nearby wineries.
We spent 4 days visiting our daughter at Whitman. The house is a classic, historical farm house with plenty of room, including for our dog. The location is a short walk to the Southside wineries and a 5-10 minute drive to just about everything in Walla Walla. Nice and quiet at night. Overall, a lovely stay.
Both of our moms were so thrilled with this beautiful farmhouse and itâs setting. They could both sit out on the porch for hours watching the ducks and geese enjoying the pond. The house is spacious and accommodating for a large group.
Great location and a lot of space. Pictures true to reality. So much history in the house. Itâs like staying in your grandmaâs house. A lot of character. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
The home was filled with Character and Charm! The property was beautiful. It was close to town with the country feel.
We rented the home for a family gathering. It was perfect! We set up yard games, enjoyed the friendly horses next door, and loved watching the ducks in the pond. The views and sunset were fabulous.
Thank you for sharing the historical family home.
Beautiful and well maintained home, meticulous grounds full of blooming iris, peonies and stately sycamores. Charming duck pond. House stayed cool even with very hot days. We loved the space and the wonderful screened porch. Our family played cards in the dining room - 8 around the table and such great memories!
We had a large family reunion with many people coming from out of town, and the Lasater house was absolutely perfect to house so many of them. It had lots of character and charm, lots of nooks and crannies for the kids to separate up or play together. They loved being able to feed the horse and ducks, and all were enamored of the amazing old trees on the property. The screened in or walled in porches were also amazing, as were the views from some of the rooms. I really hope they keep this available as VRBO, as I imagine we would use it again!
Great location close to southern wineries. Older antique farm house with more modern kitchen. Very nice bedding. Enclosed porch. Very strange upstairs carpet and wall paper and dated bathrooms but was expected as this is an old family farm house. Good value, lots of room. We did wineries during day and had meals and game nights in evening. Super quiet and peaceful. Would be great for families, couples or girls weekends
Overall the Lasater Ranch was a beautiful home. The rooms are large and the home was more than enough to accommodate our two families with children and not feel crammed. The kitchen was updated and well equipped. For the money, it was a super deal. All of the historical items, original owners Bible, the history of the Ranch and the trail leading it to its current owners was a great touch. There is definitely a lot of history here and that is great to see. The only down side to the property is that the pond is not usable, the pictures lead you to believe you can jump in or hang out there and that is not the case, although the lone duck is cute, it does not like bread or to be bothered, but its cute to watch it go from the road to the pond and back again. Other than that, we look forward to returning to the ranch on our next trip to Walla Walla. It is a perfect annual gathering spot.
