It was a beautiful and quiet area. It was close to where we needed to go and very comfortable when we did spend time there. Will definitely stay there again.
We had a little issue the first night because the heating system stopped working on a very cold day and she helped resolve it asap even from afar. A kind and supportive host!
We love staying her for the Fairborn Halloween festival. 7 minutes from downtown and close enough to surrounding areas for short excursions. House is always clean, cozy, and perfect for our small group.
Cozy and clean house; Good amount of room for the 6 of us; beds were comfortable; great locations with lots of restaurants, etc nearby but tucked into a quiet sub; Jean is organized and an excellent communicator! I texted her a few times and she was super prompt. I would definitely stay here again!
We absolutely loved our stay here. The property was clean, organized, spacious, and has a really private and cozy patio. There was also a neighbor cat who liked to visit for pets when we'd step outside!
Check-in and check-out were both easy and direct. Not far from Yellowsprings for things to do. Overall great experience!
Clean, Great Location, Quiet neighborhood, Awesome host
We brought our son and 2 grandchildren to visit the Air Force Museum. The 4 bedroom home was perfect, close and very clean. Jean our host was great. Very good communications. Thanks for providing us a wonderful place to stay.
Property was exactly as shown in the listing. Location was easy to find. Host was responsive and kind. Check in was very easy and there were detailed instructions. I loved the small touches, like how each room was labeled and had binders and info. Also umbrellas by the front door were super useful, as it drizzled for most of our stay :)
The house was very nice and Jean was a pleasure to talk to . The house could use some upgrades, but it was very clean and the neighborhood was beautiful. The patio off of the back door was very private and quiet. I would stay again.
We're four friends, all guys in their 60s and 70s from different parts of the country. Every year we take a trip and meet somewhere for a week. Usually to visit museums or engage in something we're interested in. This year it was the Air Force Museum in Dayton.
Our VRBO was great. Clean, quiet, and in a nice residential neighborhood. It fit our needs perfectly. And when I asked the owner a question prior to our arrival, she was prompt and thorough in her response.
I was tasked with finding a place to stay, and to a man, our guys congratulated me on the choice.
A great place for our yearly girlâs trip. Plenty of room with excellent beds! The owner quickly responded to a couple of small issues.
The floors in the kitchen were very sticky so we did mop it. The patio was very nice to sit and visit
It could be beautiful with a few flowers!
We would stay there again if the opportunity ever presents itself. Thank you!
Positives: Neighborhood felt safe and was close to highways and downtown. Jean was responsive via text and phone. Backyard seemed nice but we didnât use as it was February.
Opportunities for improvement: The house is seriously dated and in need of improvements. The flooring is the cheapest vinyl and doesnât look âfinishedâ properly in some areas. The furniture is dated (there is even an outdoor glider as one of the couches in the living area).
Overall, just temper your expectations. I was surprised as most reviews I read didnât touch on the downsides. I expect my rentals to look like the owners spent the time and money to make it but Jeanâs does not. I will give her high marks for communication. We had an issue (blood on a comforter). She was quick to respond.
Jean is awesome and accommodating with some extras like coffee, tea and cold filtered water.
Beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean. We were there during a really bad storm; heavy rain 40 mph winds but the house was warm and dry!
This was the perfect house to stay at for my sons wedding which was in yellow springs.
Very nice home and location.
A few more bath towels and wash-clothes would be nice, There were 6 adults. Did find a few in the dryer.
Would recommend this home and if our journey brings us back this way, we'd love to stay.
Our stay was wonderful. The house had all the amenities required for a short stay. Located in a great neighborhood. We enjoyed the home's comfort. The back yard was really a winner. Our hostess; Jean, was absolutely fantastic. She communicated with me from the day I booked. I have one more grandson who will graduate from CSU in a couple of years. I hope this property will be available then.
Everything was clean when we arrived, and checkin details were provided early. Located in a cute and safe town close to food and the highway. The neighbors cat is also cute and curious! Thanks Jean
We needed somewhere to stay for a few days, and thought more people would be joining us, so we opted for a larger house. Even if they did join us, this house still would've felt massive.
There are so many cooking tools in the kitchen, bathroom products, and even spices for if you forget yours or didn't buy any. Very homey, we hated to leave. We even waved goodbye to the front door camera, lol.
I wish there was a fan in the giant room that seems to have gotten turned into a bedroom, the one with the little "gym" corner, because with those doors shut at night, it got very hot. Otherwise, everything was wonderful. Thank you so much Jean!
Fun-loving and young at heart. I am an engineer who loves gardening and all things botanical. I love meeting new people and making friends from all over the world.
This is my first house and I lived there for 12 years. Then I moved in with my boyfriend who lives about 15 minutes away. I thought share this house would be a great opportunity to meet new friends and help paying rest of the mortgage.
This house has a great location, if you come to work at WPAFB, only take about 8 minutes to go to work, 10 minutes to the Air Force Museum; The North Fairfield Mall is less than 3 miles away, there are a lot of restaurant and retails. The house is walking distance to the Fairborn community park, from which deer families come to visit us day and night; Not mention there are all kind of pretty bird like to hangout in our backyard near the birdbath. Every year, hummingbirds like to visit our flower garden, you can watch them from the kitchen window. Plus, there is a stat park nearby if you like to hiking.......
