Sitting on top of the world--- so it seems when you are relaxing at a 4400ft elevation on the covered porch of "Wings of Dawn". You might choose to sit in the hot tub on the lower-level deck, a great place to enjoy the amazing views of the Smoky Mountain Retreat. It has a luxurious great room with a stone fireplace, easy chairs, and large screen TV, plus, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, three large bedrooms, a loft, and lower-level bonus great room to the complete the story. Accommodates up to 8 people.

3 Bedroom/ 3 ½ bath + Loft, gazebo with wood fireplace, high speed wireless internet, LED, LCD tv's with Spectrum T. V's. gas grill on covered porch, central heat/ air, washer/dryer, attached 2 car garage, and access to playground/picnic tables in the development.

PLEASE READ BEFORE RESERVING: NO MOTORCYCLES OR SLINGSHOTS ARE ALLOWED IN THIS COMMUNITY.

Main level: Great room with gas burning fireplace, dining room seats 8 with access to covered deck, gas grill and gazebo; fully equipped kitchen, Master bedroom with King bed, full bath w/Jacuzzi bathtub and walk-in shower.

2nd Floor: Loft with twin sleeper sofa; full bath; 2nd bedroom with Queen bed; 3rd bedroom with King bed.

Lower walk out level: Rec Room with free standing gas fireplace; King sofa sleeper with mattress; full bath; laundry room with washer and dryer; kitchenette with sink, microwave and bar seating; covered porch with swing.

3-night minimum stay
Jan- May: $250 nightly / $1,575weekly
June, July, October, & Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Year's): $350 nightly / $2,200 weekly
August- September, November & December (Excluding Holidays): $295 nightly / $1,850 weekly.

11% tax will be applied to rent.
The Damage Protection of $50 is a required item that will be added to the reservation.
Optional 6.5% Trip Insurance will be applied to rent.

Firewood Notice: Not all wood-burning fireplaces will provide firewood at the property. We can have firewood delivered to the property per request, we offer 1/4 cord for $100 or 1/2 cord for $180. Please order ahead before your arrival.

The Smoky Mountain Retreat at Eagle’s Nest subdivision does not permit motorcycles or trailers on the mountain.

The home was full of accomodations, including a beautiful kitchen with updated appliances. The view was unimaginable and one of the prettiest I have seen staying in a mountain cabin. The cabin also came fully stoked not only with kitchen necessities but also with plenty of extra blankets and pillows for those cold nights, as well as puzzles and a few games for family time. We loved staying here and did not want to leave to return home!

Sunrise at the Wings of Dawn

The master bed mattress could be replaced and the sofa bed downstairs is not the best. The rental management company is excellent - it answers all calls and fixes all problems to the best of its ability (sometimes depending on the owners)All in all - it was a great vacation.

Christmas Stay 2021

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been renting cabins for the holidays with Smoky Mountain Retreat for 20 years now. This was our 3rd stay at Wings of Dawn. Our prior stay here was in November of 2018. Apparently the home was sold since then and has a new owner. The difference was evident in that there was less in the way of decor. It just felt different, and less than. This was the first time we spent Christmas in Maggie Valley. We typically come for the week of Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, we had several issues during our stay this time. The dishwasher did not work, and although eventually repaired, we had no use of it for 1/2 the stay. The ice/water dispenser on the fridge did not work and was never repaired during our stay. The indoor gas fireplace stoped working after the 2nd day of our stay and required a part that was not available, so we were unable to use it again. Our stay was for 8 nights and we were only able to light it for 2 of those days. This was especially disappointing as it was Christmas, and it’s one of the main features and draws to renting a mountain cabin for the holidays. There was no propane in the tank for the BBQ and once reported to management, they did send someone, but the tank delivered was not full. The condition of the BBQ is extremely concerning. The flame tamers are all rusted out which caused the flames to uncontrollably shoot upward. The BBQ was filthy and I would recommend replacing the whole thing. Management was very professional, and responsive. I understand they can only do so much. I would recommend that the owners make the investment in new appliances and sprucing up the decor. Also, fully aware it’s their cabin to do as they wish, I would still recommend not placing personal family photos around the home. If I’m renting it and want it to feel like MY home for the rental period, seeing pictures of strangers all around ruins that perception. The view is still breathtaking from this home. It will always have that!

Beautiful Views!!

We loved our stay at Wings of Dawn. The view from this cabin is breathtaking! The cabin was well stocked and very clean! Our only issue was the pull out bed in the basement. It’s an air mattress not a real pull out bed and it doesn’t hold air. Fortunately there was a separate functioning air mattress in the closet so management must have known the couch pullout is broken. A couple of our kids used the air mattress while the adults and younger kids used the beds upstairs and on the main level. The property description should be updated though. The property will not comfortably sleep 8 unless the couch pull out in the basement is replaced. Most families are not expecting to sleep on an air mattress when they spend $$$/night on a short term rental cabin. Besides the bed issue we would highly recommend this cabin!

Lovely stay at Wings of Dawn

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a amazing stay. The house is very clean, well decorated and has everything you need. It was cool while we were there so we enjoyed both the indoor and out door fire places. The porch's are such a nice outdoor space. The furniture is great. There are three bird feeders which were a nice treat. In the mornings we would lay in bed and watch the sunrise while watching all the birds being so active, Nice treat.We had a couple small issues which we shared with Jessica at SMRR and she is always awesome and gets to work on them right away.

The house and furnishings are a little dated. We stayed for three weeks and dealing with an uncomfortable bed became an issue. This place, in my opinion, is better suited for shorter stays.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved Wings of Dawn so much! My husband and I went for 5 nights and were so impressed with the cabin and every detail that it offered. We spend most of our time here on the deck with the most stunning views that we’ve ever experienced in that area. We had a fire in the outdoor fireplace every night. The outdoor furniture was amazing and plentiful! We only went out to dinner one night because we wanted to dine outside on the deck! We will absolutely rent here again!

However, this property has a serious moisture problem on the lower level - the dehumidifier must be kept running 24/7 to keep the dampness odors in check.
