Keen golfers can book a round at Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club (1 mile) while Hever Castle, the birthplace of Anne Boleyn, comes highly recommended for any history enthusiast. Wander the stately home and gardens of Penshurst Place (12 miles), before driving over to Royal Tunbridge Wells (13 miles) for chic shopping boutiques and high-quality dining. The property is in the heart of the village where you will find several pubs, bars, cafés, restaurants and shops all within easy walking distance of Old Yew Cottage, including a long-running wholefood store as well as a BBC award-winning, bio-dynamic community farm.

Step inside this spacious two-storey cottage and into the welcoming hallway, with its beautiful wooden flooring which is made from reclaimed Malaysian hardwood joists, this is where the property's characterful upside-down layout begins to unfold. On the ground floor, a few steps lead down to the well-equipped kitchen, where a Range cooker, gas hob and electric oven cover all bases and ensure you have everything you need to rustle up delicious group meals, plus a separate dining room. There is also a handy ground-floor WC. Continuing on the ground floor, a charming twin bedroom can be made into a super-king-size bedroom upon request. Carpeted stairs lead to two further bedrooms, both featuring twin zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as super-king-size beds if preferred, making this cottage incredibly well-suited to groups or families. On the first floor, a bright and airy lounge offers solace after walking adventures. Its comfy sofas, Smart TV, and corner nook provide places to spread out and relax. The family bathroom is on this floor too and includes a walk-in shower, a bath, and a WC.
