The Space:

The heart of the home is the open plan living space, where comfortable seating, large windows and carefully considered interiors create a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The well equipped kitchen provides everything needed for self catering stays, while the dining area offers the perfect place to gather for meals, celebrations or planning the day's adventures.



The bedrooms have recently benefited from further improvements, including newly installed blinds and refreshed styling throughout. Each room has been designed with comfort in mind, creating peaceful spaces to unwind after a day exploring the Lakes.



Outside, guests can enjoy a variety of spaces designed for relaxation, including landscaped garden areas, outdoor seating and a private hot tub. Whether enjoying a morning coffee, an evening drink or a soak beneath the stars, the outdoor spaces have been carefully arranged to make the most of the setting.



One of the property's most distinctive features is the loft space, where guests will find a telescope available for stargazing and enjoying clear Lake District evenings.



Guest Access:

Ridgestone's guests have access to both the hot tub and the sauna; the hot tub water is treated with chlorine.



Guests will have access to driveway parking for their convenience.



While logs for the indoor fireplace are not provided, they can be easily purchased from local petrol stations.



The accommodation also includes a washer, along with an iron and ironing board.



Conveniently, WIFI is available throughout the house to keep you connected.

Situated on the outskirts of Bowness on Windermere, just moments from the serene shores of Lake Windermere, Fawns Keep offers a charming three-bedroom, two-bathroom retreat in the heart of Windermere, within the picturesque Lake District.



Conveniently positioned for exploring the wider Lake District area, this inviting getaway combines modern comforts with Lake’s charm. The king room boasts an ensuite, while two double rooms share a family bathroom, conveniently located off the entrance. This bathroom features a combined freestanding bath and shower head, along with a separate toilet and sink complete with a mirror.



Additionally, guests can relax and take advantage of the hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the stunning surroundings.



The fully equipped kitchen provides the ideal space to prepare a hearty breakfast before venturing out to discover the wonders of the Lake District, or for enjoying a leisurely morning indoors.



Guests can also take advantage of amenities such as a dishwasher, dryer, washing machine, iron, ironing board, and hairdryer provided for their convenience.



WIFI is provided and keeps you connected while relaxing in the comfortable living area, complete with an indoor fireplace (logs not provided) and a TV for cosy evenings in.



Getting Around:

Train: The Windermere Train Station is the closest train station to Fawns Keep. It provides excellent connections to major cities such as London, Manchester, and Edinburgh, the train station also hosts the main bus hub with many mainline changes and destinations for both bus and rail travellers. Alternatively, the Oxenholme Train Station can be found in Kendal.



Bus: The area is well-served by bus services, offering convenient routes connecting nearby towns and attractions. Kendal and Windermere have bus stations that provide access to various destinations within the Lake District.



Taxi Services: For those seeking more flexibility during their travels, local taxi services are readily available. Guests can easily arrange for taxi pickups and drop-offs directly from Fawns Keep, ensuring hassle-free transportation to desired destinations.



Other Things to Note:

Fawns Keep recently underwent a short closure period to allow for maintenance works, upgrades and interior improvements. These enhancements have helped further elevate the guest experience while preserving the welcoming character of the property.



The loft telescope is available for guest use and provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy the Lake District's dark skies. We kindly ask that it remain within the property.



Children should be supervised when using the garden, hot tub and loft areas.



The property is designed for family holidays and relaxed gatherings and is not suitable for parties or events.
