Y Felin is a stunning barn conversion sleeping 10 situated on a traditional farm overlooking the ancient town of Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire. It has a Jacuzzi hot tub, a large garden and play area alongside a sauna and a cold splash pool nestled in the rolling countryside. Take in magnificent countryside and coastal views from a perfect base for exploring Carmarthenshire.

Kidwelly itself is a small historic town in Carmarthenshire, famous for its Norman castle, medieval streets, and a picturesque quay along the River Gwendraeth. You can walk down the footpath from Y Felin down to the Castle. You’ll also find a few cafés, pubs, and local shops, plus walking paths along the river and countryside trails. For history lovers, the castle is the main highlight, but the town has a quiet charm that makes wandering around pleasant. There are also plenty of cycle paths nearby, perfect for exploring the area on two wheels.

There are many beautiful beaches just a short drive away.. Pembrey Country Park and Pembrey Sands are about 10 minutes by car offering long sandy beaches, dunes, and walking trails. Cefn Sidan Beach, a huge stretch of sand ideal for walking or picnics, is also nearby.

Carmarthen is also a short drive with its shops, restaurants, cinema, art galleries and theatre. Laugharne is also close by - the birthplace of the famous Welsh poet Dylan Thomas - where you can visit his boathouse and stroll the streets before grabbing a bite or a drink in a local pub or café.

The Gower Peninsula is an easy day trip where you can visit the Mumbles and many of the other famous beaches such as Three Cliffs Bay and Rhossili Bay – often voted the best in Wales.

Carmarthenshire is famously known as the Garden of Wales which comes from the county’s lush landscape. It has everything you could want for a holiday from beautiful countryside to amazing beaches and bustling towns. A great place for an amazing holiday.

There’s plenty of space for you to enjoy outside. The patio has a table and chairs looking over the garden and children’s play area which includes a slide, swings, ride on buggies, a trampoline and table tennis. If the weather isn’t so kind, the converted Cowshed alongside Y Felin has tables and chairs, a firepit and a BBQ. It also houses the laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer.

The highlight of the property is the private Jacuzzi hot tub set in its own space. It’s perfect place to enjoy a glass of something refreshing whilst unwinding after a busy day’s activity.

Sauna and cold plunge pool available down the lane for an additional charge. Exclusive hire for one hour slots paid on-site. Available 9am, 10am, 11am, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm.
