Belle maison rénovée avec plage privée

Découvrez la «vieille Floride» à son meilleur: une plage immaculée avec du sable blanc comme du sucre, des nids de tortues caouannes, des dauphins et des oiseaux exotiques dans votre cour avant. Marchez sur un quart de mile sur une belle promenade jusqu'au WindMark Beach Village Center. Le chalet a été récemment rénové, avec une cuisine gastronomique, une grande baignoire d'angle, une télévision Sony Bravia et entièrement meublé. Vous n'avez qu'à apporter vos vêtements! Vous pouvez pêcher, marcher sur la plage ou regarder les dauphins depuis votre cour avant. Asseyez-vous sous les chênes vieux de 90 ans (Les Grandes Dames) qui ombragent la maison et observez les pics, les pygargues à tête blanche et d'autres oiseaux exotiques depuis le porche grillagé. Profitez des couchers de soleil rose-orange et voyez les étoiles comme vous ne les avez jamais vues auparavant. Regardez la lune se coucher sur la baie.

La maison a une chambre à coucher (une deuxième pièce fait office de placard du propriétaire), une salle de bain complète et une salle d'eau. La chambre principale a un lit queen-size et deux placards et dispose d'une grande baignoire d'angle. L'avant de la maison est une grande pièce, avec une table à manger pour huit personnes, un salon pour six personnes et des meubles et accessoires design.

Les équipements de cuisine comprennent un lave-vaisselle Bosch, une cuisinière à combustible Jennair et un réfrigérateur avec une machine à glaçons et une fontaine extérieure.

Le plancher de cyprès australien s'étend dans toute la maison. Laveuse et sécheuse sont dans la buanderie à l'abri couvert.

Malheureusement, nous ne pouvons pas accueillir les animaux domestiques.

Home Away From Home

Love coming back to the cottage and the area. The cottage is always immaculate and the location is perfect for a couples getaway. The beach in front of the cottage is gorgeous and the local dining options are numerous and varied. Always sad to leave and anxious to come back next year.

5 minute drive to the gulf and a short walk to the bay. If you like a laid back place, this is it. Nicely kept. Mary was great!

Awesome cottage- as described with great view of the Gulf!! I know this is a small thing but it would have been nice to have a TV in the bedroom. We will definitely be back!!

Wonderful little cottage! It was very clean and decorated so cute. Wonderful time!

We had a great time at Alsobrook! The beach was clean and not crowded at all ! Mexico beach was only 2 miles away for those who want to ride some waves. We did go out in the kayak and had a great time ! Thank you for a memorable trip!

Love this cottage !

This is our 3rd year coming to Port St Joe and we always have a great time.The walk way to the beach is a great improvement.The only thing I can think of that would make our stay better would be a sports channel.

The cottage was exactly what the wife and I needed.

Perfect location! Far enough off the main drag but very close to anything you need. The screened porch was awesome for big free sunsets. The beach was very PRIVATE and beautiful. I enjoyed catching a variety of fish from the beach and the kayak there for our use. Would deff recommend this place for a quiet and peaceful beach getaway.

Wonderful sanctuary

Due to the pandemic, we were looking for a private location with beach access and this did not disappoint. Cottage was very well equipped with everything you could need and the setting was idyllic. Often we felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves. Loved sitting out in the screened-in porch watching the sunset each and every evening.

Perfect cottage for two!

It was all we expected and more! Sunsets were awesome to watch from the porch. The cottage had everything we needed. We couldn't go into the water because of the grass and seaweed, but that's just nature.... Hope to visit again soon!!!

Ultimate relaxation

This was our second stay at the cottage and it was just as wonderful as last year. Absolutely love sitting on the screened in porch at sunset. Very quiet and uninhabited, often felt we had the entire beach to ourselves. Cottage has everything needed for meal prep and cooking. Also blessed with wonderfully warm weather.

Cozy and comfortable cottage on the coast!

Lovely and clean cottage with character in a delightful setting, across a little-used street from St. Joseph Bay and the tip of Cape San Blas, located between Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe. Near everything, 30 minutes from the Cape's state park's ocean swimming and Bay kayaking. A/C worked fine on our trip's incredibly hot days in late June. Recommended. We'd stay there again.

Everything, but ...

... the cleanliness of the home was great. We had to vacuum the floors and wipe the counters down before we set up our belongings. The location was quiet throughout our entire stay. We enjoyed ourselves and would love to book this property again in the future.

We have stayed at this cottage several times now and we just love it ,the area is quiet and the beach is just across the street. Fishing is great we charter a boat caught a bunch of fish. The only thing I would improve would be the living room furniture needs to be covered or do a good cleaning to it.

Quiet and Peaceful

We loved our stay at the cottage. The weather was horrible, so having a clean, quiet and serene escape was fabulous. The food and restaurant recommendations were spot on!! I hope we can come back soon when the weather is nicer and more time could be spent on the beautiful, private, white sandy beaches. The owners are great and quick to respond with help. Thank you for sharing your home!

Perfect Beach Cottage

This cottage was perfect for myself and my husband to celebrate our 10th anniversary! Everything we needed to enjoy a peaceful beach getaway! The views from the porch are great. The cottage itself is cozy and we felt right at home. We had the privilege of seeing our very first sea turtles! We saw dolphins, crabs and I even found some sea urchins to photograph. If you want a serene, private beach experience you cannot go wrong with this place❤️

Peaceful and Quiet

Despite the biting flies (thankfully not every day), the red tide, and the dead fish we had a pleasant stay. The weather was perfect and the sunsets were the most spectacular I have ever witnessed. Some of them were truly spiritual moments. The front porch is the perfect place to start the day with a morning cup of Joe. Love the isolation and quietness of the area.

Alsobrook Cottage

Love coming to the cottage. The quiet of the neighborhood is a major draw for us. Wes and Lindsey, our neighbors, and their children are the sweetest family! Port St. Joe being located where it is makes it easy to take day trips to Apalachiacola, Mexico Beach, and Panama City. Great selection of restaurants in Port St. Joe to accommodate any appetite. We will definitely be back for year 3 next year as long as it is still available for rent.

Mary and Bob Herdegen have family in the area and have been vacationing in nearby Mexico Beach for over 25 years. While this property is new to them, they purchased it from a family who had it in their family since 1938. The new owners hope to honor and maintain the tradition established the family and provide the same wonderful experience for their guests as did the previous owner.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

When people visit Port St. Joe, they seem to leave a part of their heart is, quite simply, a very special part of the world. Maybe it is the authenticity of the town. Maybe the Southern hospitality. Maybe the amazing shrimp, oysters, and fresh-caught fish. The historic Cape San Blas Lighthouse was "rescued" from imminent loss along the Gulf and now stands proud and protected in the City limits along St. Joe Bay. A full-moon climb will never be forgotten.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Some favorite things to do are to walk the beach, which takes an entirely different feel at different times of the day. At night, take a flashlight on the beach and see thousands or thousands of "ghost" crabs scurrying around the sand; it looks like a far-away planet! Sit on the porch and watch the dolphins swim by. The seafood is amazing, and you can buy shrimp and oysters that were taken out of the water the night before. If you think you do not like oysters, you have never tried an Apalachicola oyster! Sleep with the windows open to hear the din of insect noises and to watch the fireflies from the bedroom window. The board walk to WindMark Beach Village Center is beautifully landscaped, and the Village Center has some amenities worth exploring. If you are inclined to pursue other outdoor adventures, less than 30 minutes away you can enjoy Off the Map Expeditions kayak tour of the Dead Lakes in Wewahitchka and the Estuary Tour of the Apalachicola River. Both are a must-see!
