Bridgeview is a cosy and welcoming 3 bedroom home, located in the centre of Ballater and on the banks of the River Dee. Sit in the garden and enjoy the beautiful river views or relax in front of the log burner. Our self-catering home is ideal for families or groups. Perfect for exploring Royal Deeside with fantastic walking & cycling routes on the doorstep, along with coffee spots, independent shops, supermarkets & local restaurants just a 2-minute walk from the front door.
On arrival, guests are welcomed into our beautiful, private front garden, set right on the banks of the River Dee, with beautiful views over the river, bridge and surrounding woodlands - a favourite spot for guests to relax with a cup of coffee or a wee glass of whisky in the evening while listening to the sound of the river.
Entering Bridgeview, you will find our bright Living Room on the ground floor, with double doors at either end of the room opening to the front garden and patio area in the shared courtyard to the rear of the property. The Living room features a cosy log burning fire and large smart TV with services such as Netflix and Disney+ available for watching TV or films. Our Kitchen makes the cottage perfect for self catering stays, with a new electric oven, hob and microwave. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking and has a dining table seating up to 6 guests.
On the ground floor, we have one bedroom with two single beds. Upstairs, you will find two further bedrooms. Our master bedroom features a comfortable double bed, and has an en-suite shower room with an electric shower, toilet and sink. Our second bedroom upstairs has two single beds. All bedrooms have plenty of storage space for unpacking and hanging items during your stay. Our bedrooms all have spectacular views over the River Dee, a beautiful sight to wake up to during your stay.
The family shower room is accessed from the upstairs landing, and features a walk in shower, toilet and sink. Downstairs, an additional WC completes the property.
Bath towels, soft linens and luxurious toiletries from Fine Scottish Soaps are provided for all guests.
To the rear of the property, there is a quiet patio within the shared courtyard, with its own outdoor dining table and chairs - perfect for enjoying meals together on sunny evenings.
The entire property is available for guest use, with a private front garden and a shared rear garden. Bridgeview is located in a quiet development and has two private parking spaces. Additional parking can be found on the surrounding streets, a short walk from the house.
Bridgeview is located in the popular town of Ballater in the heart of Aberdeenshire and is within the Cairngorms National Park. There are beautiful local walking and mountain biking routes accessible right from the Lodge, with the old Deeside Line cycle path running from Ballater, taking cyclists and walkers along a quiet track to Aboyne, Banchory and on to Aberdeen. We are a short drive from Braemar where you can visit the Kings residence, Balmoral Castle, during the summer months.
In the winter months, guests can travel to Aviemore, Carirngorm Mountain and The Lecht ski centre for skiing and snowboarding. Horse riding, independent shops, supermarkets and amenities are available close by in Ballater, including many local businesses, butchers and bakeries, which also supply the Royal family at Balmoral. Bridgeview is a short drive from Banchory, Aberdeen, Stonehaven and Braemar where guests can find fantastic shops, eateries and things to do with the whole family.
