Just moments away, the historic Tarn village of SorÚze (2.5km) enchants with its narrow lanes, abbey-school heritage and café-lined squares, perfect for a leisurely wander. A little further on, Revel (8km) is famed for its vibrant Saturday market, widely regarded as one of the finest in France, where colourful stalls brim with local cheeses, charcuterie and seasonal produce beneath the medieval covered hall.
