The town of Saxmundham, perfectly positioned for discovering the best of Suffolk, has a long history going right back to the Doomsday Book, and was once on the Coach and horses’ route from London to the coast. Many of the buildings in the ‘old town’ of Saxmundham are from the Georgian period as a result.
