This beautifully designed ground-floor apartment sits all on one level, making it easy, comfortable and wonderfully relaxed from the moment you step inside.

The space opens into a bright, open-plan living area where sea-salty air and soft coastal tones set the mood. Think sun-bleached wood floors, cosy seating and underfloor heating throughout — warm toes after coastal walks on crisp mornings 🥾🌬️.

The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with everything you need to cook up a lazy brunch or fresh seafood supper — including dishwasher and washing machine, so you can settle in properly and make it feel like home.

The bedroom is tucked away from the main living space, offering a calm, peaceful retreat after a day exploring the Helford. It’s designed for deep sleeps and slow mornings 💤🌿.

The contemporary shower room features a walk-in shower, basin and WC — simple, stylish and refreshing after sandy beach days.

Step outside and you’ll find a small private seating area — perfect for morning coffee in the fresh Cornish air ☕🌤️.

Guests also enjoy access to the residents-only heated outdoor swimming pool within the Ferryboat Inn complex — ideal for a relaxed dip after time on the water 🏊‍♂️.

There’s one allocated parking space included in the residents’ car park, so you can arrive, park up and unwind.

Mussels is tucked within the Ferryboat Inn Complex in beautiful Helford Passage — just moments from the river and that fresh, salty Cornish air 🌊.

Follow signs for Helford Passage and the Ferryboat Inn as you arrive. As you drive down the hill towards the water, turn right at the red sign and follow the signs for Residents Parking.

There is one allocated parking space for Flat 16B, located at the far right-hand end of the residents’ car park. Parking is free of charge and reserved exclusively for Mussels guests — so once you’re parked up, you can truly relax 🚗✨.

From the car park, walk past the newly built “Seashells” cottage. Mussels is on the right-hand side as you head gently down the slope towards the beach and river.

The apartment is situated on the ground floor, making access straightforward once you’ve arrived.

Mussels offers easy self check-in, so you can arrive in your own time and slip straight into holiday mode 🌊🔑

While we won’t meet you in person for key handover, we’re always just a message or phone call away. Whether you need local tips (best coastal walks, hidden coves, seafood spots 🦀🍷) or a little help during your stay, we’re here for you.

Close by, you’ll find the beautiful Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens, famous for their sub-tropical planting and breathtaking coastal views 🌺🌴. And when you fancy a little more buzz, the vibrant harbour town of Falmouth is around 6 miles away — home to sandy beaches, independent shops, great restaurants and rich maritime heritage ⚓.

The nearest mainline railway station is Falmouth Town, approximately 6 miles from Helford Passage. Falmouth connects to the national rail network via Truro, with regular services running along the scenic Maritime Line 🚆.

From Falmouth, a local taxi will bring you to Helford Passage in around 15–20 minutes.
Alternatively, guests can travel to Truro Station, which offers direct services from London Paddington and other major cities. From Truro, a taxi to Helford Passage takes approximately 35–40 minutes.

For ramblers and coastal path explorers 🥾🌿, Helford Passage is perfectly positioned on the South West Coast Path, and seasonal river boats operate across the Helford River — a beautiful way to connect walking routes and explore the creeks, coves and hidden corners of this special stretch of Cornwall 🚤🌊.

Local bus services run between Falmouth and surrounding villages, though services directly into Helford Passage are limited and may require advance planning.

If travelling without a car, we recommend pre-booking a taxi from Falmouth Town or Truro to make arrival smooth and stress-free.

Helford Passage is beautifully tucked away — part of its charm is the peaceful, natural setting 🌿. Access to the beach does involve a fairly steep hill, so guests with mobility considerations may wish to plan accordingly.

The residents-only heated outdoor swimming pool is available seasonally 🏊‍♂️ (opening dates can vary depending on the time of year and weather).

Please remember to bring your own beach towels for sandy swims and pool dips 🌊.

Helford is a quiet riverside village where life moves at a gentler pace. We kindly ask guests to respect neighbours and keep noise to a minimum, particularly in the evenings.

Mobile signal can be patchy in certain spots — but many see that as the perfect excuse to switch off and breathe in that fresh sea air 📵🌬️.

Kayaks and paddleboards are available locally during the season, giving you the chance to explore the beautiful Helford River from the water 🚣‍♀️.
