The centre of the village still retains a Victorian feel, assisted by the grand architecture within. The beautifully restored Pavilion hosts various cultural events, including concerts, plays, and art exhibitions. The Highland Museum of Childhood, located at the restored Victorian railway station, explores growing up in the Highlands, demonstrating local history and traditions. The village is also home to a challenging yet scenic 18-hole golf course. There are walks suitable for all abilities surrounding Strathpeffer and the wider area, including the regionâs highest mountain, Ben Wyvis. Nearby Rogie Falls offers a chance to watch wild salmon leap up majestic rock falls whilst the rapids flow beneath the dramatic suspension bridge. Inverness is located 21 miles away, explore Inverness Castle, and Cathedral, and the stunning Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle are a short drive away.
