Enjoy a unique stay with your loved ones at this enchanting holiday home in Mid Norfolk. Originally a mill house with a windmill, this four-bedroom, four-storey hideaway welcomes eight guests to the sleepy village of Hindolveston. Spend your days exploring quaint market towns, birdwatching and walking, and enjoying local attractions including wildlife parks and steam trains. Then return here for lazy afternoons in the garden and sociable evenings of piano-playing, table football, laughter and chatter.
Bursting with character and charm, this property has been lovingly refurbished, its bright and airy living spaces complemented by soft hues and high-quality fixtures and fittings. Two spacious lounges on the ground floor offer space to gather together or spread out and enjoy some peace and quiet. Both feature large, squashy sofas, Smart TVs and patio doors leading into the garden. Set on a beautiful, tiled floor, the kitchen features soft grey cabinets and a double range-style oven, and is attached to the dining room by a wide arch. A ground-floor wet room and a sofa bed is available in one of the lounges, and there’s a football table in the hallway for evening entertainment. Four beautifully appointed bedrooms invite a restful sleep. Choose between a sumptuous king-size and a twin bedroom on the first floor, along with the family bathroom and a cosy snug. Or head up the tower where there are two more double bedrooms on the second and third floors which fabulous views over the surrounding countryside. Outside, an unenclosed grassy garden has outdoor furniture for dining alfresco and there’s private parking for six cars.
The Georgian market town of Holt (7.5 miles) boasts independent shops, cafes and restaurants and has an expansive country park. You can also hop on the Poppy Line steam train to the seaside town of Sheringham (14 miles). Nature lovers can see grey seals at Blakeney (14 miles) and an array of birds at Cley next the Sea (11.5 miles) and visit the wildlife park at Pensthorpe (7 miles).
