I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay. The washing machine, alas, was not repairable so a shiny new one has now been installed - lovely AO couldn't do a quicker delivery! I'm sorry about the internet - I'm afraid that's the occasional price of living in such a lovely rural setting. However, all is restored to full working order! We look forward to your next visit.

Hi Deborah. First of all, I'm sorry that there were no instructions. We were told to remove them during the pandemic and I think now is probably the time to put them back! We do put up Christmas decorations - but at Christmas time. I know that TV advertising wants you to believe that Christmas starts in October, but we're a bit old fashioned in this part of the world - it's still only Advent! :-) I hope we'll see you back again one day. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay! The TV is a 50' panasonic flat screen so whilst not in the first flush of youth, it's still a good piece of kit. Netflix is run from a BluRay player connected to the internet via wireless. If anything is slow it will be that. Best, Peter.

Hi Hayley, and thanks for the review. I'm afraid the turnaround time on cleaning is forced upon us as once disinfectant is applied, we have to wait for it to dry before we can then wipe down. We also have two barns to do - not one. In the old days we could manage with 2-3 cleaners over six hours. Now we have 6, sometimes 7 cleaners and it just takes even longer. I'm sorry about this but our hands are really tied on this. Things like the bin lids and the TV need to be reported to us at the earliest opportunity. We could have fixed both, but didn't know about them until after your stay. We are waiting on spare parts for the gas fire. I'm pleased you had a lovely stay anyway and we'd love to have you back. Thank you for leaving the Lodge so beautifully tidy. Best, Peter.
