An impressive Isle of Wight retreat; this Wootton Creek waterfront holiday cottage offers the best of all worlds to groups of friends and extended families planning coastal adventures together. Just 3.5 miles from Ryde and 4.5 miles from Cowes (via Cowes 2 min chain ferry), it overlooks (with access to) the scenic Wootton Creek, where you can watch the boats drift in and out on the tide from the Solent, and even take to the water yourself on your dinghy, canoe or paddle board. Woodside Beach (1 mile) is great for walking and paddling, while sandy Ryde Beach (4.5 miles) is popular with swimmers. Visit Queen Victoriaâs former family home at Osborne House (4 miles) or Quarr Abbey (2 miles), where you can explore over 200 acres of beautiful grounds. Stroll 1.5 miles to take in the islandâs scenery from a heritage train on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. For hiking and seafront enthusiasts, hop onto the Isle of Wight Coastal Path (0.5 miles).
