For the more adventurous, pack your hiking boots and bicycles and explore the endless country lanes and trails in the surrounding area. The Monsal Trail can be accessed at Bakewell (6.5 miles) and follows the former Manchester to London Midland Railway Line for 8.5 miles, with spectacular scenery on route.
