For a fun and quirky getaway on a working farm, book a break at this barn conversion. Itâs great for a mixed group and their dog looking for a peaceful holiday with lots of outdoorsy adventures and relaxed sociable time, set in stunning North Devon.
This property is inverted level, so youâll begin with the bedrooms and then walk upstairs for the communal spaces. Enter a hallway, rich with wood panelling, to see three comfortable bedrooms. Thereâs a king-size room, a double and a twin, all equipped with en-suites for privacy and convenience. The bath/shower rooms are gorgeously tiled, and the bedrooms contrast shades of sand with deep blue. Head upstairs for an open-plan living space featuring a kitchen, lounge and diner with a vaulted ceiling, exposed beam and a wood burner. You can watch films, play games and chat in the lounge area, then prepare food in the kitchen â and make delicious drinks with the coffee machine â then eat at the farmhouse-style table. Youâll have access to the garden from the living space, enclosed (not sure how, no pictures) and featuring a lawn, patio, seating area and a BBQ, perfect for sunny afternoons.
This property is in a remote area, and itâs perfectly located for anyone who loves outdoorsy days out. Pack your pup and a picnic, then visit the Exmoor National Park (8.5 miles), which is full of incredible wildlife, or view ancient woodland at Eggesford Forest, 11 miles. Equestrians should check out Collacott Equestrian Centre, 3 miles, for incredible hacking for all abilities, and golfers are welcome at The Mole Resort Golf Club (6 miles). Pub less than a mile away at George Nympton.
