Blending traditional Cornish charm with New England beach house style, this welcoming holiday home is a wonderful base for a laid-back family break. Smart coastal influences flow throughout the ground floor, where an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner house all the essentials of home. Thereâs much to appreciate here, including super-fast Wi-Fi, but stealing the scene is the sea view through the glass doors that open onto the sunny front patio. The propertyâs unrivalled location comes to the fore on the first floor too, where the master bedroom â which has its own en-suite shower room â has a double bed and the same stunning outlook; wake up to the sea breeze and sound of the waves. Bunk beds ideal for younger guests are in the pretty second bedroom, and completing the layout of the upper floor â which has level access from the main entrance â is a family bathroom and utility area. Sit out on your patio for a breath of fresh air and instant relaxation; the beach is just a few metres away when you want to stretch your legs further.
Home to the UKâs most southerly working port, Porthleven has a gorgeous granite harbour where small boats land their daily catch, much of it headed for the townâs cafes, restaurants and fishmongers.
