À propos de cet hébergement
1 Bed in Jedburgh (oc-nb1951)
1 Smiths Wynd is a one bedroom stone-built listed building built around 1800. Set over 3 floors, it is deceptively spacious with kitchen and utility room on the ground floor, the lounge on the first floor and the ensuite bedroom on the second floor. Nestled on a quaint narrow lane in the heart of Jedburgh, it is only a few metres from the Mary Queen of Scots' Visitor Centre, which is surrounded by attractive gardens. Newly refurbished to a high standard, the cottage offers bright and modern accommodation in delightful surroundings.
Jedburgh is a pretty town steeped in history in the heart of the Scottish Borders. Mary Queen of Scots spent some time here in 1566 and the home she stayed in is open to the public with an interesting display of artwork, textiles and objects associated with her life and times. The house sits amid some beautiful gardens famous for the pear trees planted around the Augustinian Abbey in the early 1800s. Another great attraction to visit is Jedburgh Castle Jail and Museum, allowing visitors to walk through the original cells and discover the conditions the inmates had to endure. Please check attraction websites for opening times. 1 Smiths Wynd is the perfect base for travelling across the Berwick Upon Tweed on the Northumbrian coast and even up to Edinburgh. Activities to be enjoyed in the area include fishing, cycling, boat trips, horse riding, golf.
