The Space:

Located in the peaceful setting of Allerthorpe Golf & Country Park, Wag Tail Lodge offers the perfect countryside escape for families, couples, or friends. This modern two bedroom, two bathroom lodge sleeps up to six guests and welcomes dogs, making it an ideal choice for a relaxing getaway with your four legged companions.



The open plan living area is bright and contemporary, finished in soft neutral tones with stylish touches that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The fully equipped kitchen includes modern appliances and everything you need for a self catered stay, while the dining area is perfect for enjoying meals together. The lounge features a comfortable sofa bed, Smart TV, and patio doors that open directly onto the private decking area.



Step outside to discover your own private outdoor haven complete with garden views, outdoor seating, and a luxurious hot tub. Whether you are enjoying a morning coffee, a family meal outdoors, or a quiet evening soak under the stars, this peaceful space is designed for relaxation.



The master bedroom features a plush double bed and en suite shower room, while the second bedroom offers twin beds ideal for friends or family. A second bathroom provides added convenience for all guests.



With the park’s beautiful landscaped grounds, Bar & Grill, nine hole golf course, and children’s play area all just a short walk away, Wag Tail Lodge combines comfort, nature, and relaxation in one perfect setting.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to their lodge from 4pm on their arrival date.

Our on-site team will be on hand to support your check in and ensure you have everything you need for your stay.



Please note that there is one parking space to the side of each lodge, this is to be used by one vehicle only. All other vehicles can drive to the lodge to drop-off luggage but must park their car in the main car park for the duration of their stay.

There is strictly no parking on the grass at any times.



Quiet times are between the hours of 10pm and 7am and we politely ask that you respect your neighbours when using the outdoor facilities during these hours to ensure everyone has an enjoyable time when staying with us.

Please note that the park is Dog Friendly but we ask that all dogs are kept on a lead at all times when on the park site.



All guests can make use of the additional facilities at the Lodge Park. These include JJ's Bar & Grill, a Take-away Pizza Shack, 9 Hole Golf Course, Driving Range and Children's Play Park

Allerthorpe Golf & Country Park enjoys a peaceful yet convenient location in the heart of Yorkshire, surrounded by countryside while remaining just a short distance from the historic city of York. Travelling by car is simple, with the park located just off the A1079, around two miles from Pocklington and roughly a 25–30 minute drive from York. The A1(M) and A64 provide excellent connections for those arriving from further afield, and each lodge includes free on-site parking for easy access throughout your stay.



If you’re travelling by train, York Railway Station offers direct connections to London, Leeds, Manchester, and Edinburgh. From there, taxis and car hire options make reaching the park quick and straightforward. Bus services also run regularly between York and Pocklington, with the final stretch from Pocklington to the park taking only a few minutes by taxi.



Guests can explore local highlights such as Pocklington’s independent shops, cafés, and restaurants, or enjoy walks and bike rides through Allerthorpe Common Nature Reserve nearby.
