The Space:

Welcome to Woodpecker Lodge, a beautifully presented two bedroom, two bathroom holiday home designed for relaxation and comfort.

Sleeping up to six guests, this charming lodge includes a spacious double bedroom, a cosy twin room and an additional sofa bed in the living area — making it ideal for couples, families or friends looking for a peaceful countryside break.



Inside, the open-plan living space is warm and inviting, with homely décor, soft furnishings and natural light that fills the room.

The well-equipped kitchen provides everything you need for a self-catered stay, including an oven, stovetop, fridge-freezer, and all essential cookware. The dining area offers a lovely space to share meals, while the lounge invites you to unwind with a book or film after a day exploring.



Step outside onto your private decking area, where you can enjoy garden views and soak in the relaxing hot tub, the perfect place to start or end your day.

With manicured surroundings, open green spaces and family-friendly amenities nearby, Woodpecker Lodge offers a tranquil escape for guests of all ages.

Guest Access:

Guests will have access to their lodge from 4pm on their arrival date.

Our on-site team will be on hand to support your check in and ensure you have everything you need for your stay.



Please note that there is one parking space to the side of each lodge, this is to be used by one vehicle only. All other vehicles can drive to the lodge to drop-off luggage but must park their car in the main car park for the duration of their stay.

There is strictly no parking on the grass at any times.



Quiet times are between the hours of 10pm and 7am and we politely ask that you respect your neighbours when using the outdoor facilities during these hours to ensure everyone has an enjoyable time when staying with us.

Please note that the park is Dog Friendly but we ask that all dogs are kept on a lead at all times when on the park site.



All guests can make use of the additional facilities at the Lodge Park. These include JJ's Bar & Grill, a Take-away Pizza Shack, 9 Hole Golf Course, Driving Range and Children's Play Park

Allerthorpe Golf & Country Park enjoys a peaceful yet convenient location in the heart of Yorkshire, surrounded by countryside while remaining just a short distance from the historic city of York. Travelling by car is simple, with the park located just off the A1079, around two miles from Pocklington and roughly a 25–30 minute drive from York. The A1(M) and A64 provide excellent connections for those arriving from further afield, and each lodge includes free on-site parking for easy access throughout your stay.



If you’re travelling by train, York Railway Station offers direct connections to London, Leeds, Manchester, and Edinburgh. From there, taxis and car hire options make reaching the park quick and straightforward. Bus services also run regularly between York and Pocklington, with the final stretch from Pocklington to the park taking only a few minutes by taxi.



Guests can explore local highlights such as Pocklington’s independent shops, cafés, and restaurants, or enjoy walks and bike rides through Allerthorpe Common Nature Reserve nearby.
