The Space:

Barakah Lodge is a warm and characterful countryside retreat set within the tranquil grounds of Allerthorpe Golf & Country Park. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, this beautifully presented lodge welcomes up to four guests and offers an inviting, homely atmosphere ideal for peaceful breaks in nature.



Inside, the open-plan living space feels instantly comforting, with traditional touches, soft neutral tones and warm textures throughout. The cosy lounge offers plush seating and large windows that fill the space with natural light, while the fully equipped kitchen and dedicated dining area make it easy to enjoy relaxed meals together.



The master bedroom provides a restful double bed and en-suite shower room, while the second bedroom features twin beds and access to a separate bathroom, ensuring comfort and privacy for all guests. Thoughtfully styled décor and charming finishing creates a welcoming, home-from-home feel.



Step out onto the private terrace where you can enjoy fresh air, scenic surroundings and leisurely moments outdoors. The inviting hot tub is the perfect spot to unwind under the stars, offering a luxurious touch to your countryside escape. Please note that Barakah Lodge does not accept pets.



Guests can also enjoy the wider facilities at Allerthorpe, bringing together comfort, nature and relaxation in one serene getaway.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to their lodge from 4pm on their arrival date.

Our on-site team will be on hand to support your check in and ensure you have everything you need for your stay.



Please note that there is one parking space to the side of each lodge, this is to be used by one vehicle only. All other vehicles can drive to the lodge to drop-off luggage but must park their car in the main car park for the duration of their stay.

There is strictly no parking on the grass at any times.



Quiet times are between the hours of 10pm and 7am and we politely ask that you respect your neighbours when using the outdoor facilities during these hours to ensure everyone has an enjoyable time when staying with us.



All guests can make use of the additional facilities at the Lodge Park. These include JJ's Bar & Grill, a Take-away Pizza Shack, 9 Hole Golf Course, Driving Range and Children's Play Park

Getting Around:

Allerthorpe Golf & Country Park enjoys a peaceful yet convenient location in the heart of Yorkshire, surrounded by countryside while remaining just a short distance from the historic city of York. Travelling by car is simple, with the park located just off the A1079, around two miles from Pocklington and roughly a 25–30 minute drive from York. The A1(M) and A64 provide excellent connections for those arriving from further afield, and each lodge includes free on-site parking for easy access throughout your stay.



If you’re travelling by train, York Railway Station offers direct connections to London, Leeds, Manchester, and Edinburgh. From there, taxis and car hire options make reaching the park quick and straightforward. Bus services also run regularly between York and Pocklington, with the final stretch from Pocklington to the park taking only a few minutes by taxi.



Guests can explore local highlights such as Pocklington’s independent shops, cafés, and restaurants, or enjoy walks and bike rides through Allerthorpe Common Nature Reserve nearby. For days out, York’s world-famous attractions — including York Minster, The Shambles, and the National Railway Museum — are within easy reach.
