The place is uniquely located for walks without having to start the car. Gudhjem town is located as Denmark's only mountain town and the small streets with shops and restaurants are within walking distance.

It is also possible to walk to the water, down towards the cliffs and to Melsted harbor and have a dip in the Baltic Sea.
