Wansfell Nook, a cottage over three floors, consists of a utility with washer/dryer and an open-plan living space with electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge with icebox, coffee maker, dishwasher, dining seating, Smart TV, and woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of a king-size with en-suite shower room and second-floor king-size with en-suite bathroom. You'll find a shop in 0.4 miles, pub in 1 mile, and lake in 0.6 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, starter for woodburning stove, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is a garden with patio and furniture and private driveway parking for two cars. One well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Enjoy a splendid retreat at Wansfell Nook. Note: Steps up to the property. Note: Narrow staircase - please take care.

A walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century âBridge Houseâ - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre. Ambleside has plenty of restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes from great fish & chips to its two Michelin Star restaurants and all tastes in between are catered for.
