This cabin is totally remodeled on the inside and beautifully furnished throughout. It contains just what you need to make your stay cozy and comfortable. The queen bed in the bedroom was perfect and resulted in a great nights sleep. The appliances are all brand-new and everything worked perfectly.
The location by the lake makes for a great view to wake up to every morning. We visited off season (end of October) so it was VERY quiet in the camp. Other than the constant rain the entire time of our stay, we had a fantastic time at the Brevort Lake cabin. Darren is a great host and wealth of information on the local area. We certainly will return when are travels take us back up to the U.P.
These are very nice little cabins in a quiet area on beautiful Brevoort Lake. A bit of a paddle getting to the drop offs for fishing with a kayak but worth the effort. I went fishing in the mornings while the girls slept in and then spent the late morning on the nice sandy beach. We had a great time!
This was the first time we booked this property, our stay was awesome. When we arrived our cabin was cleaned and well stocked even firewood. Our cabin set a little distance from the lake, but we didn't mind. It was camping like I remember as a kid. The cabins are spaced out, and each one has a picnic table, fire pit, and even a front porch to sit on with provided chairs. Inside it was cozy, the shower takes a little ingenuity to have the right temperature, but other than that we were very pleased. The property is actually located at Black Point Resort, which the listing doesn't show. We figured it out pretty quickly after a call to the property manager. We even got to talk to him during a stay up there. Excellent! We will definitely stay there again in the future.
The cabin is part of a small lake-side resort that includes camping. The setting with forest and lake is beautiful (think sunsets and loons). The owners had kayaks available. Some of the campers had numerous tents and were noisy, including loud 3 wheelers that circled the resort in the evening. The cabin was attractively renovated, but needs shelving for temporary storage in the main room and towel racks in the bathroom. Initially we had no internet until we requested a router (delivered next day). Despite following the posted instructions, our showers were either scalding hot or ice cold. The cabin property had numerous dead trees, which need removal. During a strong windstorm, one of the trees fell against the cabin. Fortunately no damage done. Overall, a nice stay, but it could have been better.
This property is just as advertised! Very clean, very quiet and conveniently located. Only drawback was the super hot shower, but the alternative would have been less preferred. We will definitely book with the Black Point Resort again!
Very nice area.. had a hard time checking in, no instructions were given, didn't know where to go, luckily the new grounds girl was helpful. Cabin was super cute, but needed some cleaning. Host thought of everything. Dishes, extra towels and bedding, our own fire pit, picnic table, chairs, complimentary coffee and fire wood! Enjoyed our stay, however it was not good weather until the day we left, which was a bummer.
Everything was fine except the shower was either screaming hot or screaming cold. I ended up showering in the campground shower. The manager looked at it, offered a solution which did not work. This could not have been a problem that occurred just overnight. The water is not mixing and therefore needs to be repaired. Will not stay there again or suggest the location to others.
My husband, grandma and I took a quick trip to the UP. Thursday night-Sunday afternoon. We had a wonderful time! We stayed in a 1 bedroom cabin that worked well for the 3 of us. It was very clean and comfortable. If your looking to be âconnected â this is not the place. No TV, no WiFi. It was perfect for us, but not for teenagers đ
no boat ramp, no air condition, no working oven in stove , front of cabin does not face the lake, your view is looking at the woods, no t.v. All this for a high 4 night stay.
Our cabin was gorgeous. We had a beautiful view of the lake out our bathroom window. The owner was friendly and sat and talked to us for awhile. We are already planning on coming back next year.
