Rayson Hall Barns, a barn conversion, consists of a kitchen/diner with dining seating, dishwasher, washer/dryer, electric oven and hob, toaster, microwave, kettle, and fridge, and a sitting room with Smart TV and woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of a double with en-suite, double, and twin. There is a bathroom with bath, shower over, and basin, and WC, and a cloakroom with basin and WC. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is a front patio with furniture and off-road parking available. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. There is also a shop & Post Office, a village hall, and sitting next to the green is St Peter's church, built in 1718, with some parts of interior dating back to medieval times. Now home to the Brief Encounter Café, Langwathby Station offers great links to nearby towns and cities along the Carlisle to Settle Railway, with spectacular views of remote, scenic regions of England. Penrith is a busier town in Cumbria's Eden Valley and just a short journey away, with the large 14th century Penrith Castle set on a grassy meadow, Penrith Golf Club, a local history museum, as well as plenty of eateries and shops to enjoy. Sitting on the northerly edge of Lake Ullswater, Pooley Bridge is home to traditional inns and lovely tearooms, with access to numerous walks or take a tranquil cruise down the lake to the villages of Glenridding and Howtown. To the north of Langwathby lies Carlisle, a historic city with a beautiful cathedral, castle and the popular Tullie House Museum And Art Gallery. Langwathby is a peaceful holiday base within easy reach of wonderful attractions.
