We had a wonderful time at Lukeâs property. Everything was spotless and as advertised. The guide of the area was so helpful and had so many great suggestions. Communication was great and check in was very smooth. We particularly liked that nothing was required of us at check out. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Will definitely stay again when traveling to Austin!
The place was great for our group of 8. It was cutely decorated and the communication with the host was great. We especially appreciated the house guide which had recommendations of great places to eat and nightlife within walking distance. Quiet neighborhood and plenty of space. Definitely recommend. Thank you for being a great host!
Quiet and Roomy, Convenient to Restaurants and Downtown
This is a 2-level property in East Austin. The owner is prompt to respond, but other than confirming the entry arrangements, I didn't need to reach out further. The photos provide an accurate representation of the rooms (phew!). No need for pix from me. Anyway, we were here for my daughter's wedding. We mostly spent time with her and didn't have to make much use of the kitchen. Other than for berries and milk in the fridge for breakfast. There is a HEB grocery within a short driving distance. We did go out for dinner at il Brutto which is about a 20 minute walk away. It's a bit pricey, but Mondays is their Negroni night and a Negroni is a great drink for a warm night. Enough bitter in the taste to keep you moderate. Last year we stayed in a 2BR apartment in downtown Austin, but the owner had already rented the other bedroom to someone else. This time we took this place all to ourselves. Austin is a place we might retire to and this way we can see what it's like to live in different places. While we had our choice of bedrooms, we stuck with one. :) I once stayed in a place with a soft mattress that seemed to enfold us when we both lay down on it. We called it the "taco bed". THIS BED was sooo much better than that. Nice and firm, but with a little give to conform to your body comfortably and without tilting you in to your bedmate. :)No surprise cleaning charges. Hurrah!
We had a great stay. It was a whistle stop trip in Texas. But Lukeâs home was perfect to explore Austin and also get a taste of the local life with all the restaurants, bars and cafes close to the house,
