Originally built in the 1850s, Glebe Farmhouse is a traditional Irish stone farmhouse.

Newly renovated, it is now a stylish holiday home offering a blend of traditional charm and modern comfort.

Centrally located, it is the perfect base from which to enjoy Killarney and its surrounds, the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula.

Situated on a working farm, it offers a unique opportunity to sample life in the Irish countryside all the while having nearby towns and amenities within easy reach making it perfect for families.

Cross the threshold into your new home-from-home and head straight into the sitting room where you can unwind in front of the gentle warmth of the open fire before heading into the fully-equipped kitchen to help the chef of the group rustle up a delicious meal.

Savour their culinary creations around the dining table, raise a toast to your getaway or reminisce on the cherished memories you have created so far before stepping outside to the private patio to watch the sun set over the Irish countryside.

When the evening draws to a close choose between four well-appointed bedrooms to catch your rest in; a double with en-suite shower completes the ground floor and a further two doubles and single serviced by a shower room lie on the first.

If you can tear yourself away from this idyllic dwelling, venture into the heart of Milltown (3.5 miles away) where you can stock up on all of your self-catering essentials or simply enjoyed a well-earned break from the kitchen with delicious food at Larkin’s Pub and Restaurant, delicious wine and tapas or the nearby Faha Court Bar and Restaurant.

Those looking to explore the picturesque Irish coast can head to Rossbeigh where you can stroll the wonderful shores, admire unbeatable views across the North Atlantic Ocean or even enjoy the horse riding that is on offer on the beach.

Keen ramblers will also be in their element thanks to the abundance of walking opportunities laced throughout the countryside, climb Carrauntoohil, (Ireland's highest mountain) enjoy a lakeside hike around Caragh Lake or head into Killarney National Park to join the Killarney Trail and experience its endless outdoor activities!

If you want to stay on an authentic farm this fits the bill. The house was very nice and had the amenities needed. It was close to local attractions (Killarney National Park, the Ring of Kerry and other interesting stops). The beds could use a topper to be comfortable and some instructions on washer and dryer would be helpful. The only con was an issue with the water for showering our last morning. The host answered promptly and was very helpful to my inquiries on any issue we encountered. Overall we had an enjoyable stay.

This property was more than we hoped for. The family was great check in was informaland quick. It was great to have laundry. It was in the garden shed which was nice with the heat. This is a very authentic farm stay. The farmer was around and willing to talk about his operation and livestock. So many positive things with this stay. The beautiful kitchen makes home cooking a joy as well as a savings. We w will be back if we ever get lucky enough to return to the emerald isle.

Enjoyable stay

Although this home is about 15 minutes from the town of Killarney, the Irish farm experience is what we were looking for- & this home delivered. The house was clean & large enough for our party of 7 adults. My only recommendation to the owner would be to replace or add bed pillows & to include more towels (at least 1 bath towel per person). An outside table & chairs would have enhanced the experience. The patio overlooking the farm was really nice, but there was nothing to sit on out there. Overall, it is a lovely home and large enough for a group of 7! The owner, Kieran, was easy to communicate with &responsive to our questions

Maison super équipée

Super maison, nous nous sommes tout de suite sentis "Comme à la maison".La maison est tres bien équipée avec four, lave vaisselle et lave linge et sèche linge ! Les chambres ont de belles proportions et sont tres agreables !Tres bel emplacement à quelques kms du Gap of Dunloe Nous recommandons cette maison pour un sejour dans le Kerry

This was perhaps the best lodging we stayed in during our entire trip to Ireland! The house was absolutely perfect for our family of 7. The host was wonderful and had great communication. The kids loved seeing the cows, and the swing set and yard to run around in were such a nice treat after long days in the car. It was close to town while also feeling like you're away from it all. 10/10 I would highly recommend to anyone considering it!

Our family stayed at this lovely farmhouse as a home base as we explored the area. It’s a quick drive into town. We loved the cows and the cats, and we loved chatting with James. The house was clean and well equipped.My only suggestion would be to add a mattress topper to the mattresses. The springs were a little uncomfortable, but I simply added an extra comforter and it was better. This is a wonderful place to stay for peace & quiet, and especially great for a family.
