Cette propriété est l'emplacement d'origine du journal de la Nouvelle-Orléans, The Times-Democrat. En 1914, le journal a fusionné avec The Daily Picayune, créant aujourd'hui le journal bien connu, connu sous le nom de Times Picayune. Décoré de manière traditionnelle en tenant compte de l'histoire du bâtiment, nous avons "thématisé" ce condo autour de la section politique du journal. Il existe plusieurs pièces encadrées, datant de 1890, dans l’unité pour votre plus grand plaisir. Understanding it was the 1850's built newspaper building, the location cannot be beat for all there is to do, go, see and EAT while in downtown New Orleans. Close enough to walk, yet far enough away from the 24/7 chaos of Bourbon Street, where you can come back and get some much needed rest to get out there and do it all over again the next day! Thanks for the coasters, we use that iconic New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board meter cover photo as our logo, so those will most definitely be on our office desk tops! We had a great stay. Due to a minor maintenance issue, we actually anded up staying in the Picayune newspaper unit.It was very well decorated and comfortable.

So sorry for the last minute change to the different condo that you had reserved, but with all those storms that went through with snow and ice north and east of us, New Orleans had such heavy wind driven rain, we thought best to move you to a lower floor, in case we had roof leaks. We have addressed them playing music and found the speaker for that business at the edge of your window. Street noise is not always avoidable in downtown New Orleans. We cannot emphasize what a perfect location The Picayune Building is to all of downtown New Orleans activities, attractions, and restaurants, from fine dining, to iconic to a few Mom & Pop, hole in the wall places. Sounds like Barbara gave you the information overload of things to do, see & go. Thanks for understanding that we had no control over the internet fiber optic lines that were severed by nearby construction on the street. Rarely do we loose power or internet, even during storms, because all of our utilities are underground. Although we were told the service would be back by 6 AM Friday, early this morning, we got another notification that it would be today, Monday by noon, we'll see :( When you decide you want to make another visit, we would be honored to be your Host. Sure wish you would have called at the time there was loud music coming from the speakers on the sidewalk. We could have made a couple of calls, even at 2 AM. Those pictures were very helpful to send to maintenance for them to see the glass shower door guard needed to be replaced and some missing caulking. The host has been incredible! She has kept in touch throughout the whole trip. She gave us ideas on places to go and things to do, which were completely AMAZING! She hooked us up with tickets for a Mardi Gras parade. She introduced us to so many experiences that we would not have necessarily been about to have experienced in our own, coming into a place we don't already have connections. Awe, thanks Michelle and family for the 5 Star Review! I so enjoy having never been to New Orleans visitors. Everybody knows Bourbon St. and all that, but I want you to explore more that is commonplace when here. Be a local, eat where we eat, not always the tourist restaurants, or those that require reservations and a dress code. Sometimes those hole in the wall, Mom & Pop places will get you that authentic Cajun or Creole flavors, seasonings and spices you want to try. But, if you want the fine dining, French, Italian, Greek, you name it we have it here. Although you were here for work, I am so glad you called to let us know you wanted to outrun that dangerous ice / snowstorm and arrive a couple of days early, ecstatic that we could help with that dilemma. If you have never been to New Orleans during Carnival season, there is no way of trying to explain it. You DO have to experience it for yourself before you can decide; Mardi Gras, you either love it or hate it. At least you were here of the more calmer, family friendly, first weekend of rolling parades. We would love to host you again, whenever you are ready to VacayNOLA!

Highly communicative and informative host. The property was even more spacious than in the photos. Perfect location, just enough off the Quarter to avoid the noise and bustle, but close enough for an easy walk after hours! And always easy to get a taxi or Uber all around the city, not to mention convenient to the trolley for some lovely touring. Rent without fear!

Excellent location and cool, historic architecture

Great condo in perfect location- walkable to the French Quarter, restaurants, riverside, and shops. Very clean and easy check in/out.

Thank you Lynn and friends for the 5 Star Review. We cannot express enough what a prefect location The Picayune Building is to all there is to do, see and eat in downtown New Orleans. We are a great walkable city. Once you realize it was the original newspaper building, it all makes sense, it had to be centrally located to get those breaking news events and stories of surrounding neighborhoods, back to be typeset , printed and sold by the news boys on the streets. We know that we have a very special and detail orientated housekeeping team that keeps this 175 year old building in the best condition it can be, for it's age. Glad you thought the arrival and departure instructions were easy to understand and follow. We don't ask you to strip beds or wash the bedlinens or thick terrycloth towels, as all of our laundry is sent out to a commercial laundry service to be washed, sanitized and dried, coming back fresh and folded for each new arriving guest. We do ask simply to; load and start the dishwasher with provided dishwashing tablets, and take the trash out, so we keep odors and pest at a minimum. The location was perfect. The condo was nicely decorated, clean, and had everything we needed. My one complaint would be the second bedroom was upstairs and it was on the same air unit, so stayed very warm compared to downstairs. Hard to sleep in that space.

Sorry we did not make the 5 Stars, but if you would have called, we could have moved you to a second floor condo, all on the same level, which I do think was offered to you, before you ever got to New Orleans. Since we are in our condos, a minimum of weekly, we know how warn that upstairs bedroom can be, one of the reasons we offer to change you, when we have the availability. Other than that, sounds your family had a wonderful time in New Orleans. We cannot express what a perfect location The Picayune Building is to all there is to go, do, see and eat while here. If you decide to make another visit, contact Barbara before making your reservation to get the current Return Guest Discount coupon code, and don't be shy to ask her about all of the condos we manage. Sometimes her honesty is too much, as she will tell you the pros & cons, good & bad, warts and all of the condos. She strives to make all of our guests comfortable. We would like it very much if you come back for another visit, but can you not bring any storms with you? Great place! Highly recommend!

Clean, great amenities, great communication and you cannot beat the location! We raved about it all weekend. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next trip to this great city and recommend it to others!

When, " clean" is the first word, we owe all that to our detailed housekeeping krewes that take such pride in the hardest part for the vacation rental business. Who know that leaving those little extras like shampoo, bath and bar soaps, make-up removing towelettes, extra bath tissues, laundry pods and fabric softener sheets, hair dryers, trash bags and even packets of French Market Coffee, filters, little creamers and bottles of water and Gatorade in the fridge for you, were out of the ordinary? We call those lagniappes, glad it made you happy. We cannot express enough what the perfect location The Picayune Building is to all there is to do, see, go and eat all within a mile radius of your "home". Yes, please do recommend us to your friends & family, but we will save that Return Guest Discount for you. Great location, accommodations, and communication

Our stay was fantastic! It's nice and quiet, and just a short walk away from the French Quarter. Our host was excellent with communication as well. Would stay here again.

Awesome Stay

We had such a wonderful time. The rental was nice and clean, convenient to everything and Barbara was wonderful helping with all our NOLA questions. We will definitely stay there again!!!
