à propos de cet hébergement
A colourful corner in the heart of Buxton
Welcome to our home, in the heart of Victorian Buxton - where we have made every effort to make our home NOT GREY!
After buying this property in 2023, we worked tirelessly renovating every room, and re-working the layout to give a much more 'worldwide' feel to this little Peak District flat!
With the charming coffee shops & restaurants of the town, the surrounding beauty of the Peak District minutes from our door, and the best tap water you'll ever taste, you'll fall in love with Buxton.
This building, along with many others in the area, dates back to the 1870's, or even earlier!
The earliest records we can find was when Lord Cavendish (Duke of Devonshire) sold the property in 1878.
As you'll notice, in this beautiful area in the heart of Buxton, many buildings have been preserved and kept true to their original time periods (see the Pavilion, Opera House & The Crescent, among others!) and this makes the town of Buxton beautiful & interesting to wander around and discover!
But don't worry! As beautifully Victorian as the outside or the property looks, our interior has been very much brought with a bang into the 21st century, and the wider world!
After a long day hiking the Peaks, you'll love soaking in our stand-alone tub, in the full bathroom, which has the feel of a sleek, city apartment.
You'll watch the goings-on of the town with your morning coffee, sat in your first-story vantage point in our original bay window - the main feature of our the bright & airy living room, where you can feel the vibrance of Mexico.
(before semi-settling down in Buxton, we travelled to some amazing places, but Mexico stole a special piece of our hearts, and we loved recreating the vibrance in our own home)
Prepare your own meals in our complete kitchen, which includes an induction hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, air fryer, toaster, blender & more.
Or you can take the 10 minute walk into the heart of the town (known as Spring Gardens) and try out some of the delicious independent restaurants & cafes.
And at the end of it all, you'll wind down in the Scandi pastel zen of our cosy nook of a bedroom.
This is a self-contained flat on the first floor.
The flat is accessed via 1 flight of stairs.
There are other residents in the building, that we ask you to be mindful of during your stay.
