Walking
There are nature trails in abundance at Hollicarrs. Whether you are looking for a gentle stroll, or a more energetic walk over a longer distance, walking trails have been carefully carved out among the trees around the lodge park, leading you through bluebell dells, primrose banks, past our bird hide to spot the wildlife and natural ponds teaming with life.

If you prefer to cover a couple of miles, why not walk through the woods to Skipwith Common Nature Reserve, a site of special scientific interest. This route takes you past the lovely Norman Church in Skipwith and the Drovers Arms is only a slight detour.
Tennis
The hard tennis court is flood lit enabling play throughout the year.

Fishing
The fishing lake at Hollicarrs is within easy walking distance of the lodge park and provides a sheltered, well stocked lake. Fishing platforms have been designed around the area for easy access including disabled areas for wheelchair users.

Bowling Green
A well maintained grass green for expert or beginners play.

Petanque Courts
Petangue terrains are available for expert or beginners.

There is spacious entryway with storage for coats and muddy boots—perfect after a day of exploring the surrounding woodlands. The open-plan living area exudes a luxurious ambience and is the heart of the lodge, with the vibrant glow from the log-effect fireplace creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for quiet evenings or movie nights on the smart TV.
The kitchen offers modern amenities, including a Bosch Tassimo coffee maker, an American-style fridge-freezer with an ice maker, and air fryer. Gather around the stylish kitchen island and enjoy a complimentary glass of fizz, perfectly chilled in the wine cooler.
The sunken hot tub, situated on the large decking is accessed through sliding patio doors, with powerful jets and soothing LED lighting, it's the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploration, offering a rejuvenating experience under the stars.
The master suite has a king-size bed, smart TV, walk-in dressing room, and large en-suite. The 2nd bedroom has sip & link beds so can be superking or twin. It also has a smart TV. Luxurious bedding, robes & towels are all provided for your comfort.
Stroll through one of the many nature trails and enjoy the peaceful sound of birdsong, or spend some time fishing in Hollicars lake, or taking afternoon tea at Olivia’s Tea rooms. When you're ready to explore further afield, you'll find York city centre, rich in history, with a delightful mix of medieval streets, unique shops, and landmarks like York Minster, making it a must-visit destination.
