Throughout the property, modern interiors are tastefully complemented by a Cotswold colour palette, creating a light, airy and peaceful abode. The kitchen is well-equipped and leads into the spacious sitting room, with doors into the garden and the wonderful space that awaits. The incredible wrap-around garden is a true delight and a wonderful place to enjoy the warmer days. Lovely stay

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay at Puddleduck house, about a 15 min walk into Bourton and the area was beautiful. The house has everything you need and was very clean. We would stay again!

Perfect for a family weekend away

Puddleduck House is in a perfect location, an easy walk into Bourton on the Water. The house was extremely clean with excellent facilities. The hot tub was amazing with a changing area and towels provided. The outdoor seating had been carefully thought out with lovely garden furniture.

Lovely Short Stay

What a find we had a lovely time, the house was spotless and in a perfect location just a short walk into the village. The house had everything we needed and the hot tub was a bonus. Outside seating areas were perfect although only four sun beds for six adults but we just used chairs. Kevin was amazing nothing was too much trouble kept us updated with our arrival time and was so accommodating. I would definitely recommend here for a stay we didn’t have our dogs but would be perfect for dog owners too. Would definitely go back. Note if going at peak time would strongly advise booking tables for meals as the village gets very busy.

Nice location

An ok stay. Kevin was very pleasant and welcoming. House is a bit tired, the upstairs floors and stairs all creak so loudly you would wake everyone up with any small movement. Mattress in back bedroom is hard and can feel the springs, appreciate this is just personal preference. There is half open bottles of shampoo and other toiletries left in the bathrooms, I guess from previous stays but who would want to use another guests half open bottles of toiletries? The clean was average but not worth complaining about as easy enough to do yourself. Ring marks on the worktop and ketchup on the kitchen table, the dishwasher tablet gets stuck in the holder, so doesn’t wash dishes properly. Meaning previous guests food was on glasses in particular, meaning they needed to be washed before could use anything. Location is good, hot tub nice and garden well maintained with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the summer.

Beautiful place to stay

Super place to stay, very spacious, decor spotless. Outside area beautiful place to sit and have a BBQ (provided) and enjoy the hottub. A 10 minute stroll from the village with everything you need. Would definitely retun

A perfect venue

An excellent property - clean, extremely well equipped and exactly what we needed. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were ideal for one member of our party who is wheelchair bound.

Lovely property

What a beautiful home! Lots of seating lots of parking very peaceful and a short walk into the village! Couple of housekeeping items need to be addressed but nothing that affected our stay. We would definitely stay again!

A real nice clean and comfortable house

Puddleduck house was a really nice clean and comfortable house within walking distance of Bourton. Every amenity for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Lovely and quiet at night, ideal for a restful stay. It has secure and private grounds together with a beautiful hot tub.

Lovely house

Great house in a fantastic location, lovely to be able to walk into the village. We were 6 adults and were very comfortable, beds were great! Would have been better if the hot tub had been left hotter for our arrival, it takes a while to warm up and it meant we couldn't use it the evening we arrived. Generally clean but needs a deep clean (cutlery drawer, bin etc), shame the nice looking toiletry dispensers in the shower were empty. All in all a great place to stay

Everything you need for 6 people and a dog!

This is a fabulous house enjoying a superb location. Close enough to walk into the town, but away enough to enjoy peace and quiet. Great levels of privacy and secure garden for the dog. A very dog friendly property. We enjoyed good walks straight from the house. We were a very happy family.

A magical Christmas stay at Puddleduck

We stayed at Puddleduck House over Christmas and we couldn’t have had a more fantastic stay. The owners have thought about everything - the cottage was decorated for Christmas, there were milk and cookies on arrival, bathroom and kitchen necessities in the cupboards and extra towels for the hot tub. The house was spotless and bed extremely comfy! We were contacted on the day of arrival at 3:30pm to say the cottage was ready for us early which was fab. Puddleduck House is in a perfect location, it was a 10 minute walk into Bourton on the Water, which we would walk daily. We felt the house was a lot more spacious than the photos, and the hot tub really made it that extra bit special. The outdoor space is great and we could imagine how nice this would be in summer. We stayed 7 nights over Christmas and really felt like we got great value for money given the time of year - I would recommend Puddleduck House to anyone and we would definitely return!

Puddleduck house

Puddleduck house was a beautiful property.Everything that was needed was available. The beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was brilliant.The downside was that the upstairs toilet poured water if the handle wasn't fully lifted up and the travel cot provided had a matress that didn't fit it.Apart from that our stay was fabulous.The outdoor space is a lovely space to sit out at night.

A wonderful cottage, perfectly located

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in Puddleduck House. The house is in a fabulous location, close to the heart of the village, yet peaceful and quiet. We arrived to an immaculately clean property and were delighted with all the little extras provided to welcome us, from milk to shower gel, everything had been thought of. The house is comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. We can’t recommend highly enough and will definitely be back.

Puddleduck House

House & grounds very nice, very nice secluded garden and lovely big private gates to the property. Utilities very good. Great location. Minus, hot tub handle broken, head rest pad broken, downstairs shower affected hot/cold when other taps in use. Cushion storage lock broken. Nice touch leaving cake and milk on arrival for guests. Will definitely be returning.

4 Night stay at Puddleduck House with the family

Our stay at Puddleduck House was very enjoyable. We found the property in excellent condition with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A user guide for the hot tub and sky TV would be a useful addition. The location is very good (walking distance from Bourton-on the-Water). The complimentary milk and cake was also a welcomed surprise upon our arrival. My only comment is the locality of the dining table in the kitchen which I feel would struggle to seat 6 adults and a high chair around it. As our weather was great we ate at the garden table which is more than adequate. All in all I would recommend Puddleduck House to my friends and family and would definitely use the property again.

Weekend Away for daughter’s 21st birthday

Puddleduck House was nicely decorated and everything well presented. The property was perfect for a family weekend together to celebrate a 21st birthday. It was in a good location to explore the local area and easy to walk into Bourton on the Water. A morning dip in the hot tub was very therapeutic. Our checkout time on the Sunday was extended to 12 noon, thank you. This allowed us to have a relaxing morning before heading home. We would definitely like to return at some point to further explore this beautiful area in the Cotswolds.

Excellent stay

Puddleduck House was perfectly located within walking distance of the town centre and amenities and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The hot tub was clean and we enjoyed using it. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, some of the plates needed cleaning before use but as a whole the property was clean. There was sourdough bread and cotswolds butter left for our arrival which was a thoughtful touch. Communication before and during the stay was excellent and couldn't be faulted. Overall I would highly recommend staying here.

A gem in the Cotswolds but does need maintaining

This lovely house sits just on the edge of Bourton with a flat 10 minute stroll into the village. It is warm, cosy and the additional of a hot tub is fabulous. It has little touches like a wireless phone charger, alexa, posh toiletries and towels and flip-flops for the tub included. There were a few niggles that didn't spoil the stay but we're annoying. On arrival a smoke detector was constantly bleeping, the remote needed new batteries in the small upstairs bedrooom,there was no potato masher and the dishwasher had no salt so nothing was getting clean. The radiators had to be bled as upstairs was cold.. The biggest issue was the hot tub stopped working on the Saturday due to not being filled sufficiently . Kevin the agent come round within 10 minutes of calling on Saturday afternoon and sorted the issue by getting a hose and refilling.Sadlyit took until sunday morning before the tub was warm enough to use. Despite these niggles we would stay here again and had a fabulous time.

10/10 Excellent

A 30th birthday weekend well spent!

Where to start..wow is all I can say for this beautiful home!! Milk and eggs left in the fridge too! We stayed for 2 nights and had no trouble settling right in before heading to the village for a mulled wine! The bedrooms were so spacious and couldn’t have asked for a better location just half a mile stroll from the pubs and shops. The hot tub was lovely and warm on arrival and even came with a little changing room where we could remove wet clothing before heading back into the house which was ideal. Each room had its own tele but we didn’t use them much as we were out and about most of the time. We enjoyed a lovely morning walk on the Saturday just up from the house which was a circular route, well maintained and signposted the entire way past some pretty lakes and farmland. Can’t fault the house other than some minor marks on the walls in the kitchen and up the stairs but that did not bother us in the slightest! Parking for 2 cars easily but you could fit a third! We stayed in autumn but I can imagine this would be ideal in the summer as the garden had sun loungers!

Excellent property - great find!

My party was a group of 6 ladies (permission granted from owner). We stayed for 3 nights. Great location and beautiful property. Well equipped and the welcome pack of milk, butter, bread and biscuits was a nice touch. Nice spa quality products in bathrooms (soap, shampoo etc). Instruction guide was excellent - very detailed. Excellent heating/ hot water system. Very comfortable beds. Phone chargers were handy. Clean throughout. Few tips: only 1 shower (other is roll top bath with shower head), bring additional hand towels - only 2 provided for 6 guests. 6 additional large towels were provided for hot tub use, and we had another 4 large ones in upstairs bedrooms only. Luckily, some of us had brought additional towels from home. Bedroom curtains did let some light through. Upstairs toilet flush needs to be looked at as it gets stuck and trickles water constantly if not manually corrected. Hot tub did not reach temperature until the following day so we couldn’t use it on our first evening (Water had been changed though). Kitchen is galley-style so was slightly narrow but had everything in it we needed. One part of the oven in kitchen did not work but we worked around that. Nice stroll into Bourton-on-the water. Lovely restaurants, pubs and cafes - try the mousetrap, the old new inn, box bush and Italian Venezia. All in all I would highly recommend this property and would be happy to stay again! The addition of another shower would be a huge benefit to this property - even if it was in the outdoor area.

A lovely stay in a beautiful home

We had a lovely stay at Puddleduck House recently. The home is beautiful and equipped with everything you need for your stay. We even had a fresh loaf of bread and a cake loaf waiting for us on our arrival. The shower downstairs is amazing. It's so powerful. It's like a jet wash. The bedroom downstairs and downstairs shower room with toilet and hand basin was so useful for us as my auntie is disabled so this room was used for her as she would have difficulty climbing stairs. Most other properties we Iooked at had stairs with all bedrooms upstairs. We took our own raised toilet seat with us to make this a disabled friendly bathroom for her and she was able to use the shower whilst there also which can sometimes be an issue in other places. The location was the only downside for us as my auntie uses a mobility scooter and the home is located on a busy main road. The property has a private driveway with lockable gates for safety if you have children however negotiating the street in a mobility scooter was a little risky on times due to there not always being pavement space or lowered pavements for her to use the main road safely to access the village. I'd say the village is more of a twenty minute leisurely stroll. Apart from that, I can't fault the accommodation. It was very clean and smelt beautiful on our arrival. The beds were comfortable. The house is fully equipped with everything you need. We made good use of the kitchen. We didn't use the hot tub as it was a little cold for the time of year but it looks fantastic with the private changing area provided. I would definitely book with stay Cotswold again and go back but maybe not take my auntie next time as the Cotswolds is beautiful but not the most disabled friendly of places due to the narrow cobbled streets etc and lack of enough lowered pavements. It would be great for country walks with the family and dogs for able bodied people. Such a beautiful place to visit. Would highly recommend.

A home from home

Had a fantastic stay with my parents. My father has mobility issues, the downstairs bathroom with the large shower was perfect. Everything was lovely in the house to the ten minute walk to the village. Even had the sunshine all week. Will definitely go back.
